Legal Insurrection – by Mary Chastain

The way to not get people to your side is disrupting their daily routine, especially in an already traffic-congested place like Washington, DC.

The #ShutDownDC rally caused even more traffic jams in DC, including holding up emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks. Some videos show people throwing glitter and confetti because we all know they do not practice what they preach. The Youth Climate Strike made its mark on Friday, Sept. 20 when 150 countries participated in the organization’s largest mass protest to date. Estimates have placed up to 4 million people joining the cause in a powerful showing of solidarity that has placed serious momentum behind globalism and carbon taxes.

The movement’s chapter in the United States was co-founded in Jan. 2019 by Isra Hirsi, the 16-year-old daughter of Somalian-born Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), to encourage students to skip school and cause a public scene to fight climate change.  Continue reading “‘Youth Climate Strike’ Founder is Ilhan Omar’s 16-Year-Old Daughter”

Apple’s top-of-the-line computer will be assembled in Texas, the company announced Monday, a manufacturing decision that got caught up in the trade war with China.

The Lone Star State can thank new tariff exemptions for Apple’s move. President Trump has been pushing Apple, which makes the vast majority of its products in China, to build them in the United States. “Apple will not be given Tariff waiver, or relief, for Mac Pro parts that are made in China. Make them in the USA, no Tariffs!” he tweeted in July. Continue reading “Apple’s most expensive computer will be U.S.-made after tariff exemption”

Dozens of Afghan civilians are dead, local officials said Monday, following operations carried out late Sunday by U.S. and Afghan forces targeting al Qaida fighters.

The incident in the southern province of Helmand, which came just days after a U.S. drone strike killed at least 30 farm workers in eastern Nangarhar province, highlights the fragile situation for civilians as the U.S. enters its 19th year of war in Afghanistan.  Continue reading “Reports of Wedding Party Bombing Indicate US Forces Have Massacred at Least 70 Afghan Civilians in One Week”

A US Army soldier discussed bomb-making techniques and bombing a major American news network’s headquarters, as well as named presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke as a possible target before being arrested this weekend, according to court documents released on Monday.

Jarrett William Smith, 24, was charged with distribution of information related to weapons of mass destruction after offering to teach others bomb-making and discussing bombing the news network’s headquarters, according to documents in Kansas federal court. He was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas before his arrest on Saturday. The arrest of Smith comes amid a wave of arrests and charges the Justice Department has made disrupting possible domestic terror plotsContinue reading “US Army soldier arrested after allegedly discussing bombing news network”

With atmospheric CO2 concentrations reaching the 400 ppm level, the media and a number of alarmist scientists have set off the mega-alarm bells, claiming “record high levels” of CO2 had been reached, and that the planet is on the verge of an overdose. This is based purely on ignorance of the Earth’s history.

Worrying that 400 ppm is too high is like worrying about your fuel tank overflowing when it reaches the 1/8 mark during filling.  Continue reading “Atmospheric CO2 Concentrations At 400 PPM Are Still Dangerously Low For Life On Earth”

In the years following 2003, the U.S. military dotted Iraq with over 500 military bases, many of them close to Iraqi cities. These cities suffered the impacts of bombs, bullets, chemical and other weapons, but also the environmental damage of open burn pits on U.S. bases, abandoned tanks and trucks, and the storage of weapons on U.S. bases, including depleted uranium weapons. Here’s a map of some of the U.S. bases:  Continue reading “New Study Documents Depleted Uranium Impacts on Children in Iraq”

Officially, Saudi Arabia expressed surprise and a little caution over Friday’s offer by Yemen’s Houthi movement of a joint truce. The weekend, however, left little doubt as to the Saudi answer to this overture.

At least 27 Saudi airstrikes were reported against targets in northern Yemen in just the last 24 hours. The Houthis described the attacks as a “dangerous escalation,” and reiterated they’d meant to get everyone together for a peace process.  Continue reading “Saudis Pound Yemen After Houthis’ Truce Offer”

The Israel Defense Forces tweeted out a video recreating the title sequence of Friends on the sitcom’s 25th anniversary. Judging from social media reactions, even the IDF’s friends thought it was in bad taste.

The video posted on the IDF’s official English language account shows a group of young soldiers in front of a fountain with the title ‘IDFriends’.  Continue reading “‘The One Where They Commit War Crimes’: IDF tweet celebrating Friends sitcom’s 25th anniversary backfires spectacularly”

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke’s recent vow to take away people’s AR-15 and AK-47 rifles raised one big question: How is it possible to round up the millions of such guns that exist in the United States?

The number of AR-15 and AK-47s in the U.S. is estimated at a staggering 16 million, creating logistical challenges to take them out of circulation. Many gun owners are also unwilling to turn over the weapons, and if the government offered to buy them all back at face value, the price tag could easily run into the billions of dollars.  Continue reading “In gun buyback talk, how do you round up so many weapons?”

Allow me to say a few things that some of you may find shocking, offensive, or even incomprehensible. On the other hand, I suspect many or most of you may agree – but either haven’t crystallized your thoughts, or are hesitant to express them. I wonder if it will be safe to say them in another five years…  Continue reading “Doug Casey on Why the State Is a “Parasite on Society””

Anyone who has ever had to stand in a long line to pay the state for the privilege of renewing your driver’s license knows how infuriating that experience can be. The bureaucratic high-horse mentality of many of the DMV workers is so brazen and overt that DMVs have earned a notoriously horrid reputation in every state. But more infuriating than long lines and power-tripping bureaucrats, however, it the fact that according to a new report, these power-tripping bureaucrats are selling your data to private entities.  Continue reading “Infuriating Report Reveals DMVs Across the US are Selling Your Personal Info and Making Millions”

It goes without saying that the US and Russia both have many, many plans to attack one another. Generally speaking, however, it’s been treated as bad form to bring them up, and worse form to brag about them.

So Russia is criticizing US General Jeffrey Harrigian for talking up how the US has plans to destroy all air defenses in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, saying there should be “no doubt” the US could do it. Continue reading “Russia Slams US General for Plan to Destroy Russia’s Air Defenses”

We published a report last week revealing how Michigan has the highest probability of entering a recession later this year, with Hawaii having the second-highest chances.

In the latest forecast, published last Friday, the Economic Research Organization at the University of Hawaii (UHERO) warns Hawaii is “poorly positioned for risks” associated with an economic shock that could tip the island economy into a recession.  Continue reading “Disaster Ahead? Researchers at the University of Buffalo (UB), funded by the Army Research Office (ARO), have developed a new plastic that could be used for advanced body armor, combat helmets, ballistic plates, and or even armor for vehicles.

The UB-led research team, fascinated by mollusk-grown gems, used inspiration from nature to create a lightweight plastic that is 14 times stronger and eight times lighter than steel and “ideal for absorbing the impact of bullets and other projectiles,” UB Now saidContinue reading ““Stiff, Strong, And Tough” – Researchers Discover New Plastic That Could Revolutionize Body Armor”
