Immigration centers are dangerously overcrowded yet the federal agency slammed with an onslaught of migrants provides a separate unit for transgender illegal immigrants as well as costly hormone therapy and a number of other perks. Thanks to an Obama policy continued by the Trump administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) gives transgender illegal aliens special treatment, including their own detention center in New Mexico that offers hair and makeup classes, a recreation area, gym, television rooms, a lab and pharmacy. There are also meeting areas for trans detainees to consult with free legal services provided by advocacy groups. American taxpayers furnish the hormone therapy, which “is not cheap,”according to an ICE director quoted in a recent news report about the New Mexico transgender facility, which opened in 2017. Two more Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies have been fired for “neglect of duty” during last year’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, when 17 students and staffers were killed and 17 others were injured.
During a brief press conference, Sheriff Gregory Tony announced that Edward Eason and Joshua Stambaugh had been terminated the previous day, bringing the total number of BSO first responders fired in the aftermath of the worst high school shooting in Florida history to four. President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released about 3,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the United States over the past week, slowing the process known as “catch and release” from the program’s massive levels in the last six months.
From June 18 to June 25, DHS released about 3,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into various American communities. MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A group of Russian military observers will conduct observation flights over US and Swedish territory by 29 June, the official newspaper of the Russian Armed Forces, Krasnaya Zvezda (Red Star), reported on Monday.
“One of them [the flights] will be conducted over the territory of the United States by Russia’s Tu-154MLK-1 aircraft in the period from June 24-29, from the Open Skies Treaty airfield in Great Falls, with a maximum range of 5,130 kilometres [3,188 miles]. At the Jerusalem Post Conference in New York, special recognition was given to Israel’s Strategic Affairs Ministry and the DigiTell network for its pro-Israel online activism.
Established by the ministry last year, the DigiTell network consists of 100 bloggers and activists who have an on-line reach of 15 million people, communicate in five languages, defend Israel online, and combat BDS and antisemitism on a full-time basis. It took last-minute changes and a lot of arm twisting by top Democratic leaders, but the House passed with relative ease Tuesday a $4.5 billion emergency border aid package to care for thousands of migrant families and unaccompanied children detained after crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.
The bill passed along party lines after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi quelled a mini-revolt by progressives and Hispanic lawmakers who sought significant changes to the legislation. New provisions added to the bill Tuesday were more modest than what those lawmakers had sought, but the urgent need for the funding — to prevent the humanitarian emergency on the border from turning into a debacle — appeared to outweigh any lingering concerns.
