The US military, in the presence of Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, has reportedly conducted a “mini exercise” in which Washington launched a simulated nuclear strike against Russia.

A senior Houthi official says Yemen will reveal “in due course” information about the fate of two Saudi pilots whose Britain-made Tornado was shot down in Sa’ada province earlier this month.

A statement carried by the Saudi state news agency SPA after the downing said that the kingdom had conducted a special operation to evacuate the pilots who allegedly survived the incident, but no more information has emerged since then. Former Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein was found guilty by a Manhattan jury Monday of two of five charges relating to sexual assaults and faces as many as 25 years in prison.

He was found guilty of a criminal sex act for assaulting production assistant Mimi Haleyi at his apartment in 2006 and third-degree rape of a woman in 2013. The jury found him not guilty on the most serious charge, predatory sexual assault, that could have resulted in a life sentence. He was ordered to jail by the judge immediately after the conviction. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced Friday that the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) military air base in Tindal, Australia, will receive a major upgrade over the next several years in an effort to provide both Canberra and Washington a leg-up in the region.
