“Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”, is a law of propaganda often attributed to the Nazi Joseph Goebbels. Among psychologists something like this known as the “illusion of truth” effect. Here’s how a typical experiment on the effect works: participants rate how true trivia items are, things like “A prune is a dried plum”. Sometimes these items are true (like that one), but sometimes participants see a parallel version which isn’t true (something like “A date is a dried plum”). I’ve been across the country and since Spring of 2020 Walmart has always been very respectful and admirable about honoring medical mask exemptions. It’s even outlined on their corporate website. I’ve actually spoken to many Walmart managers across the USA to thank them for this. But sometimes, their employees violate Walmart policy.

This video is from a Walmart recently in New Mexico. New Mexico tends to be nuts in this regard, mask-obsessed, so I had cam rolling as I walked in. The Walmart greeter says “Sir do you have a mask?” Continue reading ““We All Have Mask Exemptions, But Masks Are Mandatory.””

The United States is building “small cities” on military bases across the country temporarily to house the Afghan evacuees who fled their home country in the final days and weeks of August.

The eight military installations that are being used to house Afghan refugees currently have approximately 25,600 people with a capacity of 36,000, though they are still short of the 50,000 goal, Gen. Glen VanHerck, commander of Northcom, said during Friday’s briefing. Continue reading “‘Small cities’: Inside the military bases that will temporarily house Afghan evacuees”

More than 2,000 mostly Haitian and Venezuelan migrants crossed the Rio Grande at Del Rio, Texas, during the past week. Several hundred migrants remain at the river’s edge awaiting transport and processing due to logistical problems plaguing the Border Patrol.

The flow of more than 2,000 such migrants in a week is such that the Border Patrol cannot keep up with the detention space required to detain the large groups at temporary detention and processing facilities in the area, according to a source with CBP who spoke with Breitbart Texas under the condition of anonimity. It is not uncommon for outdoor space to be used for detention due to the increase in migrant crossings in the area, Breitbart reported.
