A week after abruptly canceling plans to attend the United Nations climate summit in Scotland, California Gov. Gavin has receded from public view to deal with unspecific “family obligations,” reports the AP.

When the surprising announcement was made Oct. 29, his office said Newsom planned to participate virtually in the conference this week. But he did not. Spokesperson Erin Mellon now says he will appear virtually next week, said the AP.  Continue reading “Cal. Gov. Gavin Newsom Appears to be Suffering From a Bad Reaction to Covid 19 Booster”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) denounced President Joe Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm after she said on Sunday that she hopes gas prices do not increase to $4 per gallon.

“There’s no reason to “hope” gas prices won’t reach $4 (which it already has in parts of U.S.). Gas prices would go down if Biden stopped hindering the energy sector in America. There’s no reason to beg OPEC for more oil. Texas can produce it & make America energy independent,” the Republican governor said in a tweet. Continue reading “Texas Gov. CNN and CBS News are up in arms over Missouri’s Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA), suggesting it endangers people by preventing local law enforcement from working with federal agents on matters related to gun control.

The Biden administration in just the past year alone stockpiled the records of more than 54 million U.S. gun owners and is poised to drastically alter gun regulations to ensure that information on Americans who own firearms ultimately ends up in the federal government’s hands, according to internal Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) documents obtained by the Washington Free BeaconContinue reading “Biden Admin Amassing Millions of Records on US Gun Owners Amid New Crackdown on Firearms”

President Biden ran on a “Build Back Better” agenda in his 2020 campaign, which included infrastructure and economic reforms.  Hidden in Democrats $1.6 Trillion spending package to advance his agenda is a plan to give amnesty to 8 million illegal immigrants.  Some sources, such as the Heritage Foundation, put the number even higher, at 11 to 22 million.  Democratic politicians have said that amnesty and Biden’s infrastructure bill are “inextricably linked”, and will refuse to consider one without the other in the bill.  “We have to have total agreement on both before we move either” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D).  Continue reading “Biden’s Build Back Better plan includes amnesty for 8 million illegal immigrants”

The Biden administration is reportedly weighing the potential market consequences of shutting down an oil pipeline in Michigan, drawing criticism from opponents. Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, Biden’s energy secretary, predicted Sunday that heating prices will rise this winter regardless of the Biden administration’s decision on the pipeline. “Yeah, this is going to happen. It will be more expensive this year than last year,” Granholm told CNN.

The administration has yet to decide on what to do with Line 5 and officials were gathering information only to present a clear picture of the situation, according to sources who spoke to Politico. It’s highly unlikely that the United States, let alone the world, will be able to completely eliminate the coronavirus that causes Covid-19.

But there will come a day when it’s no longer a pandemic, when cases are no longer out of control and hospitals aren’t at great risk of overflowing with patients. Many experts predict the spread of coronavirus will look and feel more like seasonal influenza. Continue reading “What the end of the Covid-19 pandemic could look like”

CHICAGO, Ill. — As the vaccine rollout for kids ages 5 to 11 begins to roll out, some parents may be confronted with children who might want to avoid a trip to the doctor’s office. An estimated 63% of children are afraid of needles, but technology is aiding families in reducing that fear and anxiety.

Like most 8-year-old kids, Molly Chandler dreads getting a shot at the doctor’s office. Continue reading “Virtual reality technology helping kids with extreme needle anxiety”

Police had to intervene after people protesting Covid-19 vaccine mandates and government restrictions clashed with counter-protesters over the weekend in Boston.

The organizers behind the main protest – dubbed ‘Rise Against Tyranny’ – said they were demonstrating against “vaccine passports, face diapers, mass layoffs, and unconstitutional mandates.” The counter-protesters tried to drown them out, playing loud music through speakers, as well as with the help of a full brass band.  Continue reading “People protesting vaccine mandates square off with counter-rally in Boston”

Attendees of Travis Scott’s Astroworld music festival sued the rapper and the event’s organizer, Live Nation, on Sunday, in what are expected to be the first of many lawsuits after a tragic crowd crush left at least eight people dead and scores injured on Friday night.

Manuel Souza filed a case just days after the incident, claiming the festival “failed to properly plan and conduct the concert in a safe manner.” The suit names Scott, Live Nation and other co-organizers, calling the deaths a “preventable tragedy.” Souza is demanding at least $1 million in damages, Billboard first reportedContinue reading “First Lawsuits Filed After Travis Scott Concert Leaves 8 Dead”

Oklahoma’s Republican Governor Kevin Stitt just returned from a trip to Mexico, where he discussed the proposed consulate with Mexican officials.

PHILADELPHIA — A drone that crashed near a Pennsylvania power substation last year was likely meant to damage or disrupt the electric equipment, according to a federal law enforcement bulletin obtained by ABC News and CNN.

The July 2020 incident is the first known case of a “modified unmanned aircraft system likely being used in the United States to specifically target energy infrastructure,” states the October 28 memo from the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and the National Counterterrorism Center. That statement is based on a review of drone incidents dating back to 2017. Continue reading “Drone at Pa. electric substation was first to ‘specifically target energy infrastructure’”

GRAND FORKS — City and economic leaders have revealed a budding business deal they say is among the largest projects ever in Grand Forks — one expected to result in a large new factory on the city’s north end, hundreds of new jobs, opportunities for the region’s ag producers and infrastructure improvements that will benefit other potential businesses in years to come.

Though officials close to the deal did not disclose the value of the company’s likely investment, they said it is “historic.” Continue reading “Chinese agribusiness company chooses Grand Forks for ‘historic’ project”

I write this on the heels of a concert gone terribly wrong. The Astroworld Festival where young people suffered injury and death. Aside from my disdain for those who are responsible for what went wrong, I am thinking of the attendees and how many of them have been led into a place of what I can only call dark energy. Nothing wholesome to be found there.

I feel for teenagers. Many do not get the proper attention that they need. Some who haven’t the strong guidance of loving parents can easily slip through the cracks as they are coming of age and seeking out avenues of freedom and exploration. If only the learning of The Bill of Rights was a right-of-passage for them, where respect for The 10 Articles was firmly established. We’ve lost the civics lessons of old, lost that which combines freedom with responsibility, self-determinism with respect for the self-determinism of others. I know there are parents who are instilling such knowledge in their children, but sadly, many are not.  Continue reading “Teenagers”

Denmark, WI — As TFTP so often reports, blue privilege is extended to even the vilest of officers who prey on society’s most vulnerable. As pot dealers go to jail for decades, disgraced cops who abuse children often walk free and in some instances even keep their jobs. Disgraced police chief, Alexander Bebris, was one of these cops who proved that his blue privilege was just another reason to continue preying on children.
