McKINNEY, Texas –A McKinney police officer is on administrative leave, pending the outcome of an investigation, after a video was posted online of a disturbance at Craig Ranch North Community Pool.

The incident happened Friday, June 5th around 7:15 p.m., according to McKinney police.

The initial call to police was about a disturbance involving several juveniles at the pool who didn’t have permission to be there and did not live in the area, according to McKinney police public information officer, Sabrina Boston.

After that, several calls were made regarding the juveniles actively fighting, Boston said.

The first officers to arrive at the pool encountered a large crowd of people who refused to follow police orders. Nine additional McKinney police units were sent to the pool and officers eventually got the situation under control, Boston said.

Later, McKinney police learned of the online video, which has raised concerns that are being investigated by McKinney police, Boston said.

One of the responding officers is on administrative leave while an investigation is completed.

  1. You beat me to it. LOL

    Here’s the video:

“At one point, the cop turns on two black teenagers and pulls his gun out, pointing it at them. Two other officers intervene before the officer turns back to the teenage girl. He is also seen apparently pulling her hair.”

    1. Yup. I was looking at it on Yahoo news a couple hours ago, but declined to send it in.

      Insanity abounds.

      On video.

  2. “Brandon Brooks, who posted the unedited video clip titled Cops Crash Pool Party on Saturday, wrote that ‘this kind of force is uncalled for, especially on children and innocent bystanders.’ ”

” Some have alleged that the pool scuffle was an excuse, and that neighbors really called the police due to the influx of black attendees in their area for the event.”

  3. Everyone’s supposed to stand still in a pool until they’ve sufficiently cooled themselves, at which point they should dry themselves and go home.

No horseplay. Someone can get an eye poked out.

I mean what the hell do you jump in a pool for if not to fight and try to drown each other?

  4. From Live Leak (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=5f9_1433649879):

“According to a witness-North Dallas teens overtook a quiet community pool in McKinney TX by jumping over the fences, cursed out the parents with their little kids, threatening the parents, being disrespectful, running from the cops, fighting oh and acting like complete entitled assholes who don’t belong there. There was no racism, police brutality, it was idiotic teens doing idiotic things and thinking they didn’t need to suffer any consequences. Now our beautiful neighborhood and neighbors feel like someone came and pooped all over our lives.”

Craig Ranch is an HOA, and the “community” pool private property of the association for association residents, making the dindu muffins trespassers. Didn’t help that the one thug in blue was acting like my neighbor’s insane shi+ tzu dog that barks at ghosts at 2 and 3 in the morning.

  5. Yea this is my area. Right down the road from me. Didn’t hear anything on it until now. Strange. The cop sounded like a control freak from the video and played the whole patronizing game and the “Yea, but I caught you and that’s why you’re here. So you just sit and think about what you did” daddy yelling at children game. Pathetic. And then he draws his gun on them? WTF? Completely out of line.

By the way, WTF is with the cop doing a rolling somersault on the grass at the beginning of the video for absolutely no reason whatsoever? What was the point of that? Was he trying to show off for the camera or something? What a dumbass.

  6. “So the cops just started putting everyone on the ground and in handcuffs for no reason. This kind of force is uncalled for especially on children and innocent bystanders.”

Yep. Welcome to my world. Instead of talking to people, they just handcuff them first and then play the “I’m daddy and I’m going to teach you a listen” game.

This is what Round Rock Police did to me for no reason. These bastards have to be the ones in charge of everything and if you question them or try to take control of the situation in a reasonable manner, they feel inferior and flip out.

  7. It’s a private pool? Owned by the HOA? Then, after they’ve been told to leave, & don’t, they’re trespassing. Are they not? The cop got the ‘little man syndrome’. lol.

      1. Your first interview is interesting, and though the kid was a late arrival, most of what he says fits, but here are 2 points:
        1. He was admittedly late to the party and it had already been broken up with many leaving and having left, so he can’t speak to what happened prior to his arrival.
        2. With the one copper acting like a droid-rage idiot, it’s the kid’s opinion it was racism, and he admits that he was one of only a few whites still there when the police arrived.

Should the girl have been kneed and cuffed? Of course not. Should the other cops have stopped Mr. Roid-Rage? Yes, but they never cross the blue line. Hard lesson for the girl, regardless of race, that when you’re in the presence of an insane enraged cop that it’s best to shut up, back out, and save it for another day.

As far as the second interview, he-said-she-said, with the party planners, here’s another side of the story: http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2015/06/08/the-full-story-of-the-mckinney-texas-pool-mob-inside-the-craig-ranch-subdivision/, which makes it verrrrryyyy questionable that the mob were her schoolmates.

No doubt a number of the residents will be bringing up HOA hearings and probably lawsuits. I guess Ferguson is over and now it’s the Craig Ranch media extravaganza for the summer. Sheesh.

      1. As to the snopes article, as I said, it’s he-said-she-said at this point, plus, Snopes? LOL, http://www.fromthetrenchesworldreport.com/?s=snopes+snoped.

As to the slate.com article, there’s a little fudging: the HOA rules limit pool guests to 20, and no reservation was made and no $175-up-front fee was paid according to the conservativetreehouse.com article.

But the one statement in the slate.com article says it all: “Any question involving race, even one as seemingly simple as who was at a pool party, is liable to become very contentious in present-day America.” And that is exactly how the scumbags manipulating the media and the masses want it.
