Not Just a Pipe Dream: Texas gets ready to leave the U.S.

21st Century Wire

Talk of Texas reclaiming its independence as a republic again is normally brushed off as nonsense, and those who speak of it are often ridiculed. Times are changing though…

Consider the current trajectory of the Washington DC – ever downwards, and taking on new debt every month – debt that could never be paid back in a 1000 years… a number of states could soon benefit from cutting themselves loose from a toxic US economy and its directionless and highly draconian Federal Reserve banking system.

In the future, if any state had to bolt, Texas would be first. They might choose to opt for independence strictly out of social and economic survival.

Think about that for a minute, then watch this video below…

There’s no such things as a permanent empire

Who predicted the breakup of the Soviet Union?

Answer: No one.

Yet, it happened.

Several states in the US have small but passionate independence movements. Are these people nuts? Maybe not.

Maybe they’re just ahead of the curve…

Texas has an unusual history. It was an independent republic before it was absorbed by the US. No other state has this history. Because of its unique background, Texas possesses a number of legal loopholes that makes it easier for it it to step away from the United States and go it alone.

Is this likely to happen? Most people would say no. Then again in the 1980s most people, including people whose entire career was studying the Soviet Union, would never predicted its breakup into numerous independent states…

  1. If they do (and I’m hoping they will), THAT would likely be the spark that ignites the revolution.

Don’t mess with Texas. They’ll send your SWAT teams home in body bags.

        1. Yes, San Antonio does have very high humidity. Far west Texas, Big Bend area, the upper end of the Chihuahuan Desert, does not. Since I cannot handle humidity and extreme cold, this area of Texas is best for me, plus the mountains and the wildlife…and almost no one here is liberal except for some artsy fartsy folks in Marfa.

          1. The only other place I’ve encountered that level of humidity was back in ’71, in the London, Ontario area, DL.

            It was just as brutal.

    1. well i live in Texas an thats great to hear but i wonder, the bible says all will be effected by the one world order ? look here what just hit my facebook page whos lying ? Just a few days ago SW reported on the threat of combining the eduction system with police authorities because that was a Socialist-Communist approach. Now comes word that the police in Texas want full access to security cameras inside the classrooms.

  2. Humidity, in some areas, Fireants, Desert, coastline, Hills and a few Mountains. The only blemish is we have to many Liberals …. ONE is to many…

  3. With the way people from California and Illinois and New York are migrating here in packs, along with the illegals, I think the government is trying to flood Texas to the point that it becomes overpopulated and killed economically. Not trying to discourage anyone from moving here. It’s a great place and I recommend it. High property taxes is right, Bulldog. However, the state is strong.

I would stay away from San Antonio though unless you want to deal with the military police state. Houston is humid and Dallas is boring but both are OK. I would recommend Austin if you can find a good job there. The weather is just right and so are the people if you can get by the queer folk and the illegal Mexicans. West Texas has plains, desert and mountain areas, while East Texas has a lot of forest and swamp areas. Basically they have every type of terrain you could have except snow covered mountains.

Anyways, if we can just kick AJ out of the damn state and throw him into the damn Gulf of Mexico, we have a good chance of succeeding in a revolt. If we can also just kick out the politicians, the lieutenant governor and Perry, we won’t have a problem saying, “To hell with the TSA”. The lieutenant governor is the only reason why we still have the TSA. He was the only asshole who caved to the NWO and the Federal Government when they threatened to shoot any planes down that weren’t check by TSA and that passed over the other states. We didn’t give a shit. We were willing to fight, but the sissy Lieutenant governor sold us out to the NWO and the Federal government. Maybe we would have been separated from the Union by now. I guess that’s why they have Eric Holder and Sheila “no-name” Jackson Lee trying to start shit and pretend that we are all for Big Brother when we clearly are giving them the

Anyways, if you come to Texas, you’ll see that their state flag is basically equal to the American flag. They are proud of their state more than any other state I’ve been in. So it’s true what they say, “Don’t Mess with Texas”.

    1. Most of Texas does have high property taxes, but not here in far west Texas (not including El Paso or Midland-Odessa, which has high taxes). Ranchers barely pay any, and we only pay a couple of hundred a year (school taxes are higher–and we homeschooled!)

My only problem with secession–and I was originally involved with the 1996 “Republic of Texas” movement until I saw it as a scam–is that like most revolutions one set of oppressors will be replaced by another set…unless everyone is extremely vigilant. But if the US economy goes down, I can’t see secession NOT happening, since Texas has a much stronger economy than most states.

  4. I moved to Houston, Texas in the 1970’s to get away from the gas rationing in the Northeast. People all over Texas were talking about breaking away back then, until Exxon and a few other major corporations said they would leave Texas if the State broke away from the Union. There are also many other logistics that hampered the notion of Texas sovereign independence: The cost of buying the Texas Federal Interstate Highways and, being able to keep their military bases were a couple issues that would prevent any notion of independence. I sincerely doubt that military bases would remain if Texas claimed their independence.

Some feared that Mexico would take advantage of Texas’ isolation and invade; however, if any Nation invaded Texas, they better pack a big lunch because Texans are WELL ARMED!

On the lighter side, many Texas good old boys wanted to replace their State song: “The Yellow Rose of Texas”, with Jerry Jeff Walker’s tune: “Up Against the Wall Red Neck Mother”. It’s gritty song that reflects the rebellious attitude of white Texas citizens.

    1. Don’t forget that Texas is the only state that has its own independent power grid. The other states are powered by 1 of the 2 centralized power grids in the country, but Texas is the only one that has a separate power grid for itself. God Bless Texas!

And if they think Mexicans invading us is gonna stop us from seceding, that must be the cowardly politicians talking because I know most of us Texans would definitely say, “BRING IT ON!”

        1. Trust me. I’m well aware of it. Especially with the huge number of military bases in San Antonio and the rest of Texas.

      1. Thank you for the correction. I was confused because your greeting signs in 1979, at the State border with Arkansas mention the “Yellow Rose State”. You think I would have learned that fact during my 5-years in Houston; the Texas State Flower does not mean it’s the State Song.

BTW: Jerry Jeff Walker sounds even better after 5-shots!

  5. IM Thanking God Im here, Called Perrys office 4 yrs ago told the aid to tell Perry to leave USA. Perry said many times in different videos about leaving the Union, but hasnt, his aid told me oh he probably said it to CALM the people ? what the hell does that mean? we dont need to be calm. Perry has let the Gulen Movement receive Charter Schooling Funds from us Texans to allow these MUSLIM SCHOOLS which are called Harmony Science and Math Academy’s. they have now signs up private property no trespassing. how can that be since we the people are giving them our tax payer money to keep these schools going. the FBI has been investigating them and have shut some down. Mr. F. Gulen wants to teach the right kind of students how to become terrorist he has stated that in one of his videos, i have called the Commissioner of TEA Mr. Michael Williams and spoken to others on this maker. i spoke to my district member about no voting anymore of these schools in she was worried i could tell she felt something wasn’t right with them. we need to get this man out of Texas and his Charter terrorist Schools. I have called my State Rep. Bill Zielers office and spoken to Matt Possey who is aware of this and Bill has a few bills out there to help stop this i feel more of us needs to join in and call the Commissioner of TEA and Rick Perry, To stop this. stop the cameras in our state, kick the Feds the IRS the bankers from hell out and take our Texas Country back, look up THE GULEN MOVEMENT on the internet
