A nationwide poll has revealed that 89 per cent of 16- to 29-year-olds believe that their lives have no meaning or purpose.
The poll, conducted by Japanese company Yakult and reported by The Sun, also found that 30 per cent of young people believe they are stuck in a rut with 84 per cent saying that they believe they are failing to “live their best life”. ARLINGTON — An Arlington police officer took just seconds to fire three shots — one of which fatally struck a woman — after a dog started running toward him Thursday afternoon, body-camera footage shows.

So, he stood in front of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, along with Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin, D.-Ill., to announce he is backing Democratic New Mexico Sen. Tom Udall’s proposal to amend the First Amendment.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The gunman who opened fire on a California food festival killed himself after officers shot him multiple times, officials said Friday, correcting previous police accounts that the officers fired the fatal bullet.

The nearly two-year special counsel investigation of Russian election interference led by Robert Mueller cost nearly $32 million in total, a new filing shows.
The expenditures report, shared with CNBC by the Department of Justice on Friday, covers the final eight months of the probe, in which the special counsel spent about $6.56 million. About $4.12 million of that was spent through the special counsel’s office directly, and $2.44 million came from DOJ components that supported Mueller’s office. Washington (CNN)The United States formally withdrew from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty with Russia Friday, as the US military prepares to test a new non-nuclear mobile-launched cruise missile developed specifically to challenge Moscow in Europe, according to a senior US defense official.
The US withdrawal puts an end to a landmark arms control pact that has limited the development of ground-based missiles with a range of 500 to 5,500 kilometers and is sparking fears of a new arms race. Mario Lopez is not known for voicing his social and political views. And the one time he does it, he almost gets “canceled” by mass media. Why? Because he dared to voice concerns regarding children being switched genders. Indeed, the 45-year old father of three, who is mostly known for being that good looking guy who hosts celeb gossip shows, found himself the object of celeb gossip … and extreme outrage.
The anger began when an interview that took place last month resurfaced in mainstream media, where Lopez dared to say that three-year-old children were too young to choose their gender. The two-minute bit from a forty-minute long interview was enough to cause a good-old-fashioned mainstream-media-blitz-of-outrage, followed by threats of being “canceled”. Edward Snowden, the National Security Agency contractor who leaked a trove of secret documents in 2013, has written a memoir expected to come out Sept. 17, his publisher said Thursday.
The publisher, Metropolitan Books, an imprint of Macmillan Publishers, is releasing the book, “Permanent Record,” in the United States, though it will be published in more than 20 countries, including Britain and Germany, on the same date.
