California law enforcement organizations are in staunch opposition to a new bill which would restrict the circumstances under which police officers can use deadly force in the line of duty, reports Alexei Koseff of the Sacramento Bee.

Assembly Bill 931 would increase the state mandated standard for the use of lethal force from “reasonable” to “necessary” in order to become law. While the bill passed through its first policy committee on Tuesday, it faces an uphill battle in a state legislature that typically doesn’t cross law enforcement. WASHINGTON — The Obama White House’s chief cyber official testified Wednesday that proposals he was developing to counter Russia’s attack on the U.S. presidential election were put on a “back burner” after he was ordered to “stand down” his efforts in the summer of 2016.

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – A Missouri mother faces legal action for all the days of school her son has reportedly missed.

Prosecutors have charged the woman, Jessica Pence-Nicholson, with educational neglect, according to KTVI.

Politicians—who claim to be for limited government and free markets—are engaging in an insidious plot to seize homes from families and give them to the Taiwanese manufacturing giant Foxconn. Not surprisingly, the plot is being hypocritically championed by those who claim to be for ‘small government,’ like President Donald Trump, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, and Paul Ryan.

The factory will be used to manufacture LCD screens for iPhones, iPads, and other electronic devices. The first-grader who won the US edition of this year’s Doodle 4 Google art contest with a charming paleontology-themed colored pencil drawing created it when her family’s electricity was knocked out by a snowstorm in March. Seven-year-old Sarah Lane-Gomez, from Falls Church, Virginia drew a sampler of prehistoric reptiles to spell “Google.” The judging panel, helmed by actor Neil Patrick Harris and celebrated humanities teacher Sydney Chaffee, chose Lane-Gomez’s dino-doodle over the 180,000 other entries created by students enrolled in grades K-12 schools in the US. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been talking to members of Congress about using DNA testing to verify whether children crossing the southern U.S. border are biologically related to adults they arrive with, or if they are being smuggled into the country by human traffickers, Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council.

“Sessions is talking to congressional members and is hoping for a legislative fix,” Perkins said, adding that the DOJ would like to see “just, fair and enforceable” immigration policies. Per a White House pool spray, Trump says he is postponing the Congressional picnic and instead will be signing something “preemptive” on immigration later today “to keep families together,” adding that he needs Democrat support.
