Americans paid a record $540,701,000,000 in property taxes to state and local governments in fiscal 2016, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

President Donald Trump took aim at the growing controversy over the investigation into his campaign’s possible ties to Russia in flurry of tweets sent on Monday night.

JESSUP, Md. – The father of an 18-year-old Rockville High School student charged with the rape of a fellow classmate has been arrested for being in the country illegally, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Police on Tuesday continued their search for six people involved in an ambush-style shooting of two undercover Miami-Dade police officers in their unmarked car.

A domestic disturbance call was placed to Paris police that resulted in a raid wherein a man armed with scissors was shot to death, French publication Le Figaro reports.
The unfortunate shooting of a violent suspect resulted in leftist radicals and dissidents to take to the streets of Paris’ 19th district late Monday evening. A recent article in the Marin Independent Journal, reveals how Transportation Authorities (DOT’s) across the country, are secretly spying on everyone’s cellphones, GPS devices and Bluetooth devices. They claim spying is cheaper than other alternatives..
A new study using data collected from mobile devices, details the increasing flow of vehicles into Marin from the East Bay and San Francisco. The woman accused of acting as the getaway driver for three would-be burglars shot and killed by a homeowner’s son in Oklahoma was arrested, law enforcement officials announced late Monday.
More details also emerged about the moments leading up to the gunshots. Two of the three who broke in through a glass door in the back of the house were armed: one with a knife and one with brass knuckles, according to investigators in Broken Arrow. Approximately half of adult Americans’ photographs are stored in facial recognition databases that can be accessed by the FBI, without their knowledge or consent, in the hunt for suspected criminals. About 80% of photos in the FBI’s network are non-criminal entries, including pictures from driver’s licenses and passports. The algorithms used to identify matches are inaccurate about 15% of the time, and are more likely to misidentify black people than white people. Soil from the Fukushima prefecture may be used as landfill for the creation of “green areas” in Japan, a government panel has proposed, facing potential public backlash over fears of exposure to residual radiation from the decontaminated earth.
The advisory panel of the Environment Ministry on Monday proposed reusing soil that was contaminated during the Fukushima nuclear meltdown of 2011 as part of future landfills designated for public use, Kyodo news reported. Russia can use Iranian military bases for airstrikes targeting terrorists in Syria on a “case by case basis,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told Reuters.
“Russia doesn’t have a military base [in Iran], we have good cooperation, and on a case by case basis, when it is necessary for Russians fighting terrorism to use Iranian facilities, we will make a decision,” Zarif said. FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Police arrested a suspect in connection with the vandalism at a mosque near Colorado State University, a case they are investigating as a hate crime. Joseph Scott Giaquinto, 35, was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including a crime motivated by bias, The Coloradoan reports (http://noconow.co/2mKWQEG ).
Police had asked for the public’s help in identifying the person who overturned benches, broke windows and threw a Bible into Islamic Center of Fort Collins, which is about 60 miles north of Denver. A police spokeswoman told the newspaper that she did not have details on how police came to identify Giaquinto as the suspect. The Dakota Access pipeline developer said Monday that it has placed oil in the pipeline under a Missouri River reservoir in North Dakota and that it’s preparing to put the pipeline into service. Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners made the announcement in a brief court filing with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The announcement marks a significant development in the long battle over the project that will move North Dakota oil 2000 miles (1930 kilometers) through South Dakota and Iowa to a shipping point in Illinois. The pipeline is three months behind schedule due to large protests and the objections of two American Indian tribes who say it threatens their water supply and cultural sites. WEB Notes: Who is implementing these laws and who is voting these people into office? The people need to get up off their couch and turn off their facebooks and get out there and learn to make a stand. Pulling funds from a school because there are too many white students? This is insane. If I was a property owner in this district you better believe I would be visiting the county in person to discuss this situation and discuss why I am paying taxes for this. Unacceptable.

An as yet unnamed woman and resident of Tensed, Idaho crashed her car into a deer last week, and gave a bizarre reason for the accident. She claims that she was distracted by Bigfoot. As she was driving down Highway 95, she saw a 7-8 foot tall “shaggy object” chasing a deer along the side of the road. She decided to take a second look at the creature in one of her mirrors, and as she looked back to the road, another deer darted in front of her.
