Where Have You Gone, Bill of Rights? The New American – by Joe Wolverton, II, J.D.

On June 8, 1789 James Madison, the congressman representing Virginia’s 5th District, rose to speak in a session of the First Congress and advocated passage of a slate of amendments to the Constitution that would come to be known as the Bill of Rights.

On December 15, 1791, the requisite number of states (three-quarters, or nine states) ratified 10 of the proposed amendments and the Bill of Rights became the constitutional law of the land.   Continue reading “Where Have You Gone, Bill of Rights?”

Sebastian Prevot watched helplessly as three police officers advanced on his wife. Prevot was handcuffed and bleeding in the back of a cop car. Half of his left ear dangled where it had been torn from his head. The Houston Police Department doesn’t deny that its officers gave Prevot these injuries during a late-night arrest in January 2012. The only dispute is whether he earned them.

Prevot had been returning home from a night out with a friend. He was two miles from his house when he stopped just past the white line at a four-way stop sign. Two officers in a patrol car tried to pull him over, but he kept driving. Prevot says he didn’t want to pull over and continued home—“going the speed limit, stopping at every stop sign”—because he knew he was about to be detained and have his car impounded.   Continue reading “The Horror Every Day: Why Police Brutality Goes Unpunished”

Michael Bloomberg may be nearly finished with his term as the mayor of New York City, but he is pushing his “health” mandates until the very last minute.  When he isn’t busy peddling gun control, he’s threatening parents with the choice of injecting their kids with poison or the loss of childcare options.

Bloomberg’s dystopic Board of Health is voting on Wednesday to establish new laws that force parents of children as young as 6 months of age to have the flu vaccine.  If children are not vaccinated against the flu by December 31 of each year, they won’t be allowed to attend schools or licensed daycare facilities.   Continue reading “Activists’ Last Ditch Effort to Block Bloomberg’s Forced Flu Shots”

In a new study from Norway published inClinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, both coffee consumption and cigarette smoking are shown to potentially protect against primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). This is a chronic liver disease caused by chronic inflammation of the bile ducts.

The findings are of great interest against a backdrop of increasing knowledge on coffee as a possible protective agent in other liver diseases.   Continue reading “Coffee and Cigarettes May Protect Against Liver Disease”

Republicans in Congress have a general “disrespect” for women that’s reflected in their legislative agenda, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi charged Friday, adding that she applauds the prospect of America having its first female president.

The California Democrat said the GOP’s policy priorities — from reproductive health to the economy to the environment — are evidence they have little concern for the issues women care the most about.   Continue reading “Pelosi: GOP has ‘disrespect’ for women”

monsanto trans fatOff the Grid News – by Tara Dodrill

The FDA trans fat ban may be more than simply a health-based initiative.

The proposed Food and Drug Administration rule would ban trans fats (partially hydrogenated oils – PHOs) in processed food. But the Alliance for Natural Health is but one food related organization that feels the FDA ban may actually have been crafted to benefit a new Monsanto GMO product.   Continue reading “Did The FDA Ban Trans Fat To Benefit Monsanto And Biotech?”

“Knock and announce” police raids are on the rise. They are estimated to occur as many as 40 – 50,000 per year.  Back in the 1970s, military-style police raids used to be a rare event, occurring only a few hundred times per year.

What has happened in the last 40 years to cause the increase? Are Americans really behaving that badly? What is the reason for the rise in the use of excessive force by police officers?   Continue reading “500 Innocent Americans Killed by Cops Each Year”

Holy coincidence, Batman! It’s another Drill-Gone-Live in unlucky Colorado!

In response to the shooting Friday at Arapahoe High School, Peter J. Kuehlen has unearthed two screenshots of ‘security consultants’ conducting active shooter response drills in the same location — and on the same day, no less – of the school shooting in Colorado.   Continue reading “Active Shooter Drills in Littleton, Colorado Same Day as School Shooting”

Video Rebel’s Blog

This documentary proves there is only one political party in the United States and Great Britain. That one party covers up the rape and murder of children. This video was made in 1993 by the Discovery Channel and Yorkshire TV. It was scheduled to be aired on British TV but was cancelled. Tremendous pressure had been put on the Discovery Channel and Yorkshire TV by the Clinton administration to pull it.

Think about that for a minute. This was  a scandal involving the previous Bush administration. I hope you didn’t think Democrats and Republicans were adversaries. They are the predators and the common people are the food. The people who think they own the government are allowed to fly heroin and cocaine into America by the plane load. They sell these drugs to violent street gangs who are destroying your country. But that is not enough to satisfy them.   Continue reading “Video: Conspiracy Of Silence. The Franklin Scandal.”

Should Christians Shoot in Self DefenseMilitia News – by Don Boys

I have been asked if Christians should “shoot to kill” in self-defense, No, they should shoot to stay alive! A truism very appropriate today in America is, a gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone. Courts have ruled that the police have no legal obligation to protect you.

In real, everyday life, you and your family are on your own! As Dad you are to be the provider, priest, and protector of the family. You are the paladin “Have Gun, Will Travel” and that means you may have to shoot another person to keep the family safe.   Continue reading “Should Christians Shoot in Self Defense?”

Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP): Bigger and More Dangerous Than ObamaCare (Video)The New American – by William F. Jasper

We all remember Representative Nancy Pelosi’s infamous statement that we have to pass the ObamaCare legislation so that we can find out what’s in it. That was in 2010 and Mrs. Pelosi was then speaker of the House of Representatives.

Well, Congress followed her advice and passed ObamaCare, formally known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Three years later, in October of 2013, tens of millions of Americans began finding out what was really in the bill, as they began receiving health insurance cancellations and/or massive premium hikes.
