The Prepared Ninja – by Lee Flynn

Emergency preparedness is on a lot of people’s minds. With the state of the economy, and the days where the news makes it sound like the country is about to explode into civil unrest, it’s really no wonder.

Some people think that it’s all a lot of hoopla, with no real threat behind it, but when you consider that any sort of disruption in any of the big cities (where problems generally occur) would more than likely affect our financial system, our food chain, or our gas and oil supply. Any one of these being stopped or delayed could make life difficult very quickly, so being prepared is important.   Continue reading “Making Ammunition for Emergency Preparedness”

300 aac blackout vs 223AmmoLand – by John Farnam

Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- I talked today with a friend who works in nuclear security at a major installation.

He is proposing to his superiors converting all existing ARs, currently chambered in 5.56×45 (223), to 7.62×35 (300 Blk) caliber.

It will involve swapping barrels only. Existing magazines will all work, as will existing bolts and bolt-carriers. The entire project can be accomplished quickly, and at modest cost, when compared with buying new rifles.   Continue reading “300 AAC Blackout 7.62×35 – Rifle Caliber Trends”

Editor’s Note: You’ve stocked your pantry. You’ve prepared your supplies and reserves at off-site locations. You’ve developed skills like shooting, food production and trauma care. You have primary, secondary and tertiary plans for evacuating your home or digging in and defending it. For all intents and purposes, you’re ready. At the very least you’re more prepared than 95% of the country. There is no doubt that if you’ve taken steps to prepare for an emergency or disaster ahead of time that your odds of survival have increased significantly.    Continue reading “The One Thing You Need To Survive: “Everything Else Is Just Talking and Wishful Thinking””

Cops break a child’s leg with a kick to the shin and move on to sexually assault his mother.

One morning, last January, NYPD from the 63rd precinct, showed up at Krystle Silvera’s home looking for her ex-boyfriend for violating an order of protection. But protecting is not how they responded to her family.

Her cancer-stricken mother answered the door, confused by what they were asking and why they were there. Silvera’s 10-year-old son, Courtney, fascinated by the officers of his own career aspirations, grabbed his mother’s cell phone to record the questioning.   Continue reading “NYPD Breaks Child’s Leg for Filming, Assaults Mom”

GENEVA — The Vatican came under blistering criticism from a U.N. committee Thursday for its handling of the global priest sex abuse scandal, facing its most intense public grilling to date over allegations that it protected pedophile priests at the expense of victims.

The Vatican insisted it had little jurisdiction to sanction pedophile priests around the globe, saying it was for local law enforcement to do so. But officials conceded that it needs to do more, given the scale of the problem and the role the Holy See plays in the international community.   Continue reading “U.N. committee criticizes Vatican for allegedly enabling child sex abuse”
