HOUSTON (AP) — Former first lady Barbara Bush remains hospitalized with a respiratory-related issue, but her condition hasn’t changed, a spokesman for her husband’s office said Wednesday.

Bush, 88, was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Monday, though it wasn’t announced until former President George H.W. (Reuters) – The Palestinian ambassador to Prague was killed on Wednesday in an explosion that was triggered when he opened the door to a safe, Czech police said.

Jamal al-Jamal, 56, died in hospital after the incident at his home on the morning of New Year’s Day.

Summer and Steven Steele, who are from the small town of Andalusia, Ala., named their son after Alabama University’s football team, the Alabama Crimson Tide. NEW YORK, Dec 30 (Reuters) – New York City has sued FedEx Corp, accusing the package delivery company of illegally delivering millions of contraband cigarettes to people’s homes, violating a 2006 settlement.

The Department of Health and Human Services has ordered 14 million doses of potassium iodide, the compound that protects the body from radioactive poisoning in the aftermath of severe nuclear accidents, to be delivered before the beginning of February.

According to a solicitation posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website, the DHHS asks contractors to supply, “potassium iodide tablet, 65mg, unit dose package of 20s; 700,000 packages (of 20s),” a total of 14 million tablets. The reported address of the incident is 514 Cedar Avenue South. Robert Ball of Hennepin County EMS tells KARE 11 that as many as a dozen people have been injured and rushed to a number of local hospitals. United States Customs and Border Patrol is under fire after a new report revealed that officials there confiscated nearly a dozen homemade instruments from a Canadian man and proceeded to destroy them.

Canadian-born flute player Boujemaa Razgui was flying from Marrakech, Morocco back home to New York when Customs officials at John F. Kennedy International Airport asked to see the instruments he had on hand. A US federal judge has reaffirmed an Obama administration policy granting officials the authority to search Americans’ laptops, citing a controversial premise that makes citizens within 100 miles of the border eligible for a police check.

District Judge Edward Korman made his ruling in New York on Tuesday, more than three years after the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed suit. The FAA has announced that six states have been chosen for the testing of commercial drones. Alaska, Nevada, New York, North Dakota, Texas and Virginia have been chosen to host sites that will develop safety protocols and operational rules for commercial drones. The program will be complete by the end of 2015.

So the people in these states will now have to put up with drones flying overhead as researchers figure out how to make them safe for commercial use. That implies they are not currently safe for use.
