A group consisting of 40 state attorneys general has petitioned the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) calling upon the regulatory agency to start regulating electronic cigarettes in much the same way that they do tobacco products.

In a letter dated September 24, members of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) urged the FDA to meet the agency’s own, previously-established October 31 deadline to propose regulations regarding the advertising, ingredients and sale of the battery-powered devices to minors.   Continue reading “State Attorneys General Call On FDA To Regulate E-Cigarettes”

The Justice Department’s internal watchdog says the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives mounted dozens of undercover investigations into illicit cigarette sales without proper approval.

It says the agency misused some of $162 million in profits from the stings — including overpaying an informant by millions of dollars — and lost track of at least 420 million cigarettes.  Continue reading “US: ATF misplaced 420 million cigarettes in stings”

Police in California would be prohibited from helping deport some illegal immigrants under a bill being considered by Gov. Jerry Brown, in a proposed change some say would violate federal law.

The so-called Trust Act would bar police from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers on a variety of cases. Proponents say the bill is narrowly focused and only applies to those illegal immigrants arrested for minor crimes.   Continue reading “California lawmakers move to shield illegal immigrants from deportation”

The Best Years in Life – by Tony Isaacs

Prior to the advent of patentable and more profitable antibiotics, medicines containing silver were the most widely prescribed infection fighters by doctors and there were no fewer than 34 different approved prescription and over the counter medications which contained silver. Now, after the elimination of most large particle and silver nitrate products and after improved technology has made nano-sized particles that require far less parts per million, colloidal silver proponents claim that it is safer and more effective than ever. At the same time, however, it has become the subject of increasing attacks by mainstream medicine, which labels colloidal silver as a scam, as quackery and as a dangerous substance with no proven value.    Continue reading “The Truth About Colloidal Silver and why mainstream medicine attacks it”

(It is important to preface this article with the notice that I am not using the doctrinally correct terminology to describe some of the collective tasks included herein. If all your schooling is from reading FMs, STPs, and ARTEPs, you’re about to get really, really, confused. If you’ve served in a conventional unit, in any sort of leadership position, some of this may even sound heretical. Bear with me, think about it, and you may actually realize, Holy Shit! He’s right!   Continue reading “Planning Group Training: Developing A Mission Essential Task List”

New Details in Case of Officer Taking NY Man Jon Gibsons Pro Gun SignTheBlaze – by Jason Howerton

A police officer was justified in taking a New York man’s pro-Second Amendment sign as the city of Somers, N.Y., has determined it was located on “public property,” Town Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy told TheBlaze.

However, the man’s attorney, Richard Bombardo, of Syracuse, strongly refuted the claim, telling TheBlaze “that’s not what the law says.” To that effect, the attorney said he and his client, Jon Gibson, will “probably” file federal civil rights lawsuit.   Continue reading “Lawyer vs. Town Supervisor: New Details in Case of Officer Taking Man’s Pro-Gun Sign”

A new video surfaced on the internet and arrived just after the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. According to liveleak.com, the video features “never before seen footage in NYC on 9/11.”

Some of the clips seem unquestionably accurate. These include shots of the thoroughly dusty streets that only explosions of 9/11’s magnitude could create. Others feature confusing dialogue. We don’t always see the speakers’ faces, rendering subtitles necessary.   Continue reading “New Never Before Seen Footage Of 9/11 Will Give You Chills”

Now that “bail-ins” have become accepted practice all over the planet, no bank account and no pension fund will ever be 100% safe again.  In fact, Cyprus-style wealth confiscation is already starting to happen all around the world.  As you will read about below, private pension funds were just raided by the government in Poland, and a “bail-in” is being organized for one of the largest banks in Italy.  Unfortunately, this is just the beginning.  The precedent that was set in Cyprus is being used as a template for establishing bail-in procedures in New Zealand, Canada and all over Europe.  It is only a matter of time before we see this exact same type of thing happen in the United States as well.  From now on, anyone that keeps a large amount of money in any single bank account or retirement fund is being incredibly foolish.   Continue reading “Cyprus-Style Wealth Confiscation Is Now Starting To Happen All Over The Globe”

For months now, we’ve been waiting to hear how much Obamacare will drive up the cost of health insurance for people who purchase coverage on their own. Last night, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services finally began to provide some data on how Americans will fare on Obamacare’s federally-sponsored insurance exchanges. HHS’ press release is full of happy talk about how premiums will be “lower than originally expected.” But the reality is starkly different.   Continue reading “Double Down: Obamacare Will Increase Avg. Does the Second Amendment guarantee an individual right to own guns?

The Supreme Court has ruled that it does. But you might be confused if you visit the official Senate web page on the Constitution, which says only: “Whether this provision protects the individual’s right to own firearms or whether it deals only with the collective right of the people to arm and maintain a militia has long been debated.”   Continue reading “Senate website gets 2nd Amendment wrong, critics say”
