Of course, it’s hard to honestly expect President Barack Obama to do the right thing, but many people held out hope that he would veto the most dangerous food act ever to pass the US Congress. After all, one of his campaign promises the first time around was to enforce the labeling of GMOs. His wife has that famous organic garden on the White House lawn. We can trust the Obamas, right?

SEOUL, March 27 (Reuters) – Reclusive North Korea is to cut the last channel of communications with the South because war could break out at “any moment”, it said on Wednesday, days of after warning the United States and South Korea of nuclear attack.
The move is the latest in a series of bellicose threats from North Korea in response to new U.N. sanctions imposed after its third nuclear test in February and to “hostile” military drills under way joining the United States and South Korea. One Neil Heslin is trying to put himself above every other man and woman in this country. If you believe the official story of Sandy Hook, Heslin’s son, Jesse, was killed by Adam Lanza and Heslin is now demanding that strict infringements upon our 2nd Amendment right be initiated. Heslin has become quite the national figure, appearing on multiple networks and at Congressional Hearings where he sobbed uncontrollably as he implored Congress to unconstitutionally infringe upon the 2nd Amendment.
It was interesting to note, I must say it was the first time I have seen anyone sob without producing tears. I do not know who this guy is or who he thinks he is, but I can tell you what his rights are as they are the same as mine. If he does not want a gun, he does not have to have one. But the only way he can take mine away is via a twelve person jury in a common law court, as this government has absolutely zero authority to do so. Officials at the Bodega Association of the United States last week vowed to smoke out Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s proposal to ban the display of tobacco products in retail stores throughout the five boroughs.
“Where does it end?” association president Ramon Murphy told reporters. “Yesterday he went after sodas, today it’s cigarettes. The next day it’ll be chips, then sugar – and then ice cream,” Murphy said. Continue reading “Retailers Tell Bloomberg: ‘Butt Out Of Our Business’”
On the 10th anniversary of New York City banning smoking in bars and restaurants, Mayor Michael Bloomberg rebuffed any claims that his controversial public health policies violate the underpinnings of American capitalism.
“We interfere with free enterprise all the time,” Mr. Bloomberg said this morning at a press conference commemorating the Smoke-Free Air Act. “We set minimum prices and sizes on lots of things. … Most of the cost of cigarettes is in taxes and they’re taxes that are enacted by Albany. So if you don’t like that, my suggestion is you go up to Albany and ask them why they’re taxing cigarettes. I happen to think it’s a great idea because it saves kids’s lives, so maybe you want to also talk to the parents of the kids and say, ‘We’re gonna try to stop this and have them smoke and they’ll die.’” Continue reading “Mayor Bloomberg: ‘We Interfere With Free Enterprise All the Time’”

GRAND FORKS — Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., responded sharply Tuesday to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s TV ad campaign targeting senators who may be reluctant to support pending gun control legislation.
Bloomberg is personally financing the campaign in 13 states, including North Dakota, where he believes senators, Republicans and Democrats, need pressure from constituents to vote for requiring background checks for all gun purchases. Continue reading “Heitkamp tells Bloomberg to butt out on guns”

While anti-gun filmmaker Michael Moore insists that the gun control crowd is the “majority,” the latest poll from CBS News shows that he’s actually out of touch with how Americans feel about the issue.
With the Senate expected to take up new gun control measures next month, there is a heavy push from both sides that are driving the discussion. Moore, whose anti-gun film Bowling for Columbine was filled with distortions and falsehoods, went on a rant against the NRA and other gun rights advocates during a recent MoveOn.org event. Resisting arrest is not a crime. It is a common-law right, the exercise of which is treated as if it were a crime.
The act of resistance was transmuted into a criminal offense chiefly through judicial activism, rather than legislation. Courts that seek to criminalize resistance have generally made the pragmatic argument that resistance is more dangerous than submission. We’ve long since reached the point where the reverse is often the case. Continue reading “Resistance is Dangerous; Submission is Frequently Fatal”

Significant contagion has appeared in the first 24 hours after the Cyprus bank crisis “resolution,” with the forced bankruptcy of a large Spanish bank inclusive of a partial wipeout of depositors, and the pounding of bank stocks on the markets of Spain and Italy. Trading in bank stocks had to be halted multiple times in both countries to slow the plunge, and a downgrade of Italian sovereign credit by ratings agencies appears imminent. The euro currency also fell sharply, including — ironically — against the Russian ruble. Continue reading “Eurozone Bank Crisis is Back on; Now Depositors are Robbed in Spain”

“Either we liquidate the banksters, or Wall Street will liquidate us.”
From Nicosia, Cyprus, to Detroit, Michigan, the global financial octopus is squeezing the life out of society, stripping away public and individual assets in a vain attempt to fend off its own, inevitable collapse. The bankers “troika” that effectively rules Europe prepares to reach into the individual accounts of ordinary depositors on the island nation of Cyprus to fund the bailout of their local banking brethren. Across the Atlantic, a corporate henchman makes arrangements to seize the assets and abolish the political rights of a Black metropolis. The local colorations may vary, but the crisis is the same: massed capital is devouring its social and natural environment. Either we liquidate the banksters, or Wall Street will liquidate us. In the last few years we have seen a major increase in so-called cyber security throughout the country. News that foreign hackers have attacked multiple US government agencies has been a drumbeat topic within the corporate-controlled media, complete with fear mongering from government insiders and calls for tighter Internet controls to combat the growing threat.
Now, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is seeking up to 600 new student hackers to combat what they claim is the increasing danger of cyber attacks on critical infrastructure throughout the country. Invented by the natives of North America, pemmican is the original MRE.

Manasquan, NJ –(Ammoland.com)- This private musing between two climate scientist colleagues first surfaced along with a whole raft of embarrassing material in 2011, when the anonymous Climategate leaker who calls himself “Mr. FOIA” leaked his second set of emails from Britain’s disgraced Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia. Now, Mr. FOIA has emerged for a third time, sharing with the world not only his entire batch of 220,000 encrypted emails and documents but also, for the first time, his thoughts.
