Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a series of shootings that took place Wednesday morning in upstate New York. Six people are believed to have been shot, and four of those people were killed, police say.
Village of herkimer NY 3 separate shootings .. The first of three shootings took place in a house in the village of Mohawk, where a house went up in flames after shots were fired. The Fire Department responded to that scene. The suspect, however, then is believed to have fled to the neighboring village of Herkimer, and proceeded to shoot people at both a local barber shop and an oil lube shop. Daniel Halper reports for The Weekly Standard, Mar. 5, 2013, that a U.S. Army spokesman, Stephen D. Abney, the chief public affairs official for the Army’s Joint Munitions Command, recently sent an email to all 6,000 employees he speaks for, as well as civilian contractors.
The email details how our soldiers should deal with the press because of sequestration — the mandatory spending cuts to the military. Soon, women who are still in high school and their first year of college will have to be ready to receive a letter from the Selective Service telling them they’re required to report for military duty. Soon, 18 year old women who have just begun their lives will have to kill real people and bleed real blood. Is this the way we indoctrinate the future into an endless war? Start with video games and then give young girls the taste for blood. What has America come to? The Idaho State House passed a bill on Monday by a vote of 55-13 which would make it a misdemeanor for law enforcement officials in Idaho to enforce any new federal firearm laws that restrict gun ownership or contain registration requirements. While some consider it to be only symbolic, the measure is a clear reaction to the Obama administration’s attacks on the Second Amendment.
The vote was along party lines and could bring fines up to $1,000 and jail time up to one year to sheriff’s deputies, police officers, and other government employees who would help federal agents who might attempt to confiscate newly banned firearms or ammunition. Dianne Feinstein’s assault weapon ban now appears to be a little more than decoy sent out to be shot down while the real work on gun control legislation is hammered out by Democrats, Republicans and the NRA behind closed doors.
According to sources cited by Ammoland.com, the “NRA is cutting back room deals to centralize gun owner data collection into the Obama/Holder massive government data base.” Republicans are working with Democrats to pass legislation that will require records be kept on all gun sales and also move to streamline and improve the database.
