Rifle Shooter has a piece up comparing and contrasting pistol caliber carbines.
James Tarr compares the Colt AR6951, Rock River Arms LAR-9, Lone Wolf Distributors G-9 and JR Carbine. He finds pros and cons with each, but to me Colt is dead until they move to a free state. Whenever discussion over North Korea arises in Western circles, it always seems to be accompanied by a strange mixture of sensationalism and indifference. The mainstream media consistently presents the communist nation as an immediate threat to U.S. national security, conjuring an endless number of hypothetical scenarios as to how they could join forces with Al-Qaeda and attack with a terroristic strategy. At the same time, the chest puffing of the late Kim Jong-iL and the standard fare of hyper-militant rhetoric on the part of the North Korean government in general seem to have lulled the American public into a trance of non-concern. Another hypocrite politician, a member of Mayor Bloomberg’s ‘Mayors Against Illegal Guns’ group, has been busted for demanding drunken gay sex at gunpoint from a young man who looked to Mayor James Schiliro of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania as a ‘father figure’.
Schiliro has since been dropped from Mayor Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns group, whose slogan is “The time has come to Demand Action.” I have to wonder if they meant that so literally? Will Mayor Bloomberg soon announce a new group for mayors, “Mayors Against Mayors Using Illegal Guns to Demand Gay Sex”? MANTI, Utah (AP) — Authorities captured an elusive survivalist on Tuesday who is suspected of burglarizing Utah cabins and leaving some covered with threats and bullet holes — ending a saga that began six years ago and grabbed the attention of police and residents around the state.

The central Arkansas spill caused by Exxon’s aging Pegasus pipeline has reportedly unleashed 10,000 barrels of Canadian heavy crude – but a technicality says it’s not oil, letting the energy giant off the hook from paying into a national cleanup fund.
Legally speaking, diluted bitumen like the heavy crude that’s overrun Mayflower, Arkansas, is not classified as ‘oil’. And it’s that very distinction that exempts Exxon from contributing to the government’s oil spillage cleanup fund.
