WNDA former Secret Service agent who protected both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama says he has identified where the political system is broken and what needs to be done to fix it.
Dan Bongino’s recent addressed to the Heritage Foundation, recorded by WND-TV, spelled out why he resigned from his six-figure Secret Service job to embark on a campaign to warn the American people of the dangers of an out-of-control, unaccountable government.

Bongino, who authored the explosive New York Times bestseller “Life Inside the Bubble: Why a Top-Ranked Secret Service Agent Walked Away From It All,” resigned in 2010 to sound a clarion call to the American people in defense of sane government and the U.S. Constitution.
He told the audience when he entered government work, “I thought I had already seen it all.”
But he hadn’t.
He said many of the elite in government are dedicated to protecting their own interests, not necessarily those of their constituents.
“You’ve been sold out unless you have the money or a bloc of voters,” he said, and “internal interests” take precedence over taxpayers.
“Here’s how the system works … here’s where the siren needs to be sounded. When everybody’s responsible for something, nobody is,” he said.
That’s how an incident like the Benghazi attack can go through “the system” and the results leave everyone surprised.

He currently is challenging freshman Democratic Rep. John Delaney in Maryland’s most competitive district.
He has the endorsement of West, who said Bongino left the Secret Service at the height of his success “because he is an American patriot and the embodiment of the highest standards of honor, integrity and character … exactly what we need inside the bubble.”
Bongino said the district leans Democrat by just a couple of points, but he expects to have a large volunteer force and be very competitive in the money fight.
