Question. What is both more fun and more expensive than shooting your AR-15? The answer is shooting your AR-15 with a bump stock. We first covered the original bump stock in March of 2011, and at the time, I wondered if we would even see it still available a month later. The SlideFire Systems stock was $369, and in talking to the inventor of the stock, I was told that they arrived at that price purely out of hard business numbers. How much did they need to get for the stock in order to have the capitol to grow the company and develop new products? Our article here at GunsAmerica was the first major firearms industry news outlet feature story on the product, and that broke it nationally. As a company, SlideFire was born, and it continues to plug on. As I write this, the SlideFire stock is still $299.
Enter Bump Fire Systems. I encountered this stock through an ad on a firearms discussion board. It said “Bumpfire Stock $99.” I said no way, so I checked out the website and asked them for a sample. They sent me the stock you see here in the video and pictures. I don’t know anything about the company and any patent issues they may have with SlideFire, but this is not the first copy to appear on the market. It is the cheapest copy though! And OMG it works just fine, as you can see.
Installing a bump stock is easy. You remove the one screw that holds on the handgrip on an AR-15. Some ARs have an Allen wrench screw, but most these days have a large flathead.
You replace the handgrip with a plastic block, and be careful not to lose the safety lever spring, which is retained for use with the block.
Then just remove your buttstock by pulling down on the spring loaded adjustment pin, and slide the bump stock on in its place. The front of the bump stock has a groove for the block to slide in, creating the back and forth play that allows you to fire the gun really fast.

The stock comes with the DOJ/BATFE letter that explains the legality of the stock, so bring it to the range with you just in case you come across an ignorant officer of the law or bootlicking dogooder who thinks your stock is illegal.
The whole thing comes in a pegboard plastic bag. I hope it stays $99, but grab one while you can.

Ordered one on Amazon two weeks ago. I dont pull the trigger to fire but instead pull the gun forward by the handle on my front grip to slide the tigger foward while keeping my finger stiff. It sounds just like full auto fire. The downside is it changes the eye relief on my scope and reduces accuracy. Still need to try with iron sights but I doubt its usefullness for an accurate first shot rendering it just a novelty.
100 bucks to get rid of a few hundred dollars worth of stock and grip that I chose because it fits me very well? So I can drop $15 every 4 seconds?
Ill pass. Im just not rich enough nor am I a spray and pray guy.
I would consider one if it can lock in the normal mode and telescopes and has a customizable grip.
this is illegal, i wouldnt want one delivered to my address or purchased in my name – if you know what i mean.
anything that makes a gun fire full-auto is considered a conversion-device.
people have even been arrested for having a shoelace and a pair of keyrings.
you may as well be done with it and make yourself an auto-sear from scapmetal with a drill and file.
