80 Pounds of Coke Seized on Texas-Mexico Border

Breitbart – by Kristin Tate

A couple trying to smuggle 80 pounds of cocaine were arrested on Thursday while trying pass through Texas’ Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $2.5 million, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The man and woman were ultimately apprehended after a K-9 alerted agents to the Nissan Sentra they were driving. During an inspection of the vehicle, agents found the cocaine in 32 bundles being stored in a “secret compartment.”

Breitbart Texas consistently reported on a significant increase in drug busts during the border crisis of 2014, which took place in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley (RGV). At that time the border was especially unsecured, as Border Patrol agents were bsy handing the tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors who entered the U.S. illegally from Central America.

Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby reported that in one Texas Border Patrol sector, up to 70 percent of Border Patrol agents were taking care of the influx of unaccompanied minors from Central America, instead of manning the border; rural areas outside of the RGV Sector tend to be especially unsecured.

And don’t think that just because the news stopped reporting on it that it has all been fixed or gone away. It’s still just as bad down there and with another surge expected in a few months, it’ll only get worse.

  2. It will later NOT be reported that a significant amount of the drugs will get back on the streets through approved government dealers.
The profits will then fund the local police state.
