A Casselberry woman got quite a shock recently while surfing Facebook posts.

It seems her 18-year-old son was rather recognizable in a particular post that caught her attention. Two photos of the teen were displayed inside a wanted poster added to the Casselberry Police Department’s page.

The poster was created in an attempt to solve a Jan. 31 shoplifting incident at the Casselberry Target. That was the question a 9-year-old, Sinai Miller, asked after she was shot on Tuesday in Indianapolis while selling Girl Scout cookies.

Cop Cleared in Beanbag Shooting of 95-Year-Old World War II VetHomewood-Flossmoor Patch – by Lauren Traut

Park Forest police officer Craig Taylor, accused of bean-bagging an irate, confused, knife-wielding 95-year-old man to death in his nursing home, has been found not guilty of reckless conduct charges.

“There was nothing criminal about his actions,” said Cook County Associate Judge Luciano Panici in his ruling Wednesday.

Taylor, 43, bowed his head, then hugged his wife. Both were in tears. Wrana’s family also wept and embraced as the verdict was announced. The family of slain Bronx teen Ramarley Graham agreed to accept $3.9 million from the city Friday to settle their wrongful death lawsuit, the Daily News has learned.

The settlement comes amid an ongoing federal investigation by Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara into possible civil rights violations against the NYPD cops involved in the Feb. 2, 2012 fatal shooting.

Charles H. Townes, a visionary physicist whose research led to the development of the laser, making it possible to play CDs, scan prices at the supermarket, measure time precisely, survey planets and galaxies, and even witness the birth of stars, died on Tuesday in Oakland, Calif. He was 99.

His death was confirmed by his daughter Linda Rosenwein.

WASHINGTON (AFNS) — Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James, in coordination with the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Frank Kendall, has determined the Boeing 747-8 will serve as the next presidential aircraft, commonly known as Air Force One.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Reuters) – A Florida woman who says she fired a warning shot at her abusive husband was released from a Jacksonville jail on Tuesday under a plea deal that capped her sentence to the three years she had already served.

Marissa Alexander, 34, was initially sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2012 but her conviction was later overturned. At least professionally, the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s office has already paid for filing murder charges against two cops who shot and killed a homeless man in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
