What lies ahead for the economy this year? Will the economy finally collapse as predicted by many or will the early positive signs in stock markets around the world continue and the global economy will flourish?

I’ve taken a lot of heat for being “gloomy” and for “fear-mongering” lately when I’ve said that President-Elect Trump is inheriting a mess of epic proportions and that we may still be in for a rough financial ride. While I do think that Trump is a far better choice than Hillary Clinton ever could have been, when a situation has been declining as long as ours has, it would take an absolute miracle to turn it around without some pain.   Continue reading “What 12 Financial Experts Predict for the Economy in 2017…It’s Ugly”

Just hours after announcing the government intended to punish Russia for “interfering in the presidential election,” Drudge Report, a massive news aggregator with over 3 million page views per day, was hit by a massive DDoS attack. The attack occurred just minutes after people started reporting that the Russian state-run news network RT was “unavailable” in parts of the United States.   Continue reading “Were RT And Drudge Taken Down So the Government Could Control the Anti-Russia Narrative?”

In the final days of Barack Obama’s presidency, the warmongers in Washington, DC are hell-bent on causing as much chaos as possible. If they don’t manage to start a war with Russia before Donald Trump is sworn in, it won’t be for lack of trying.

The Military Industrial Complex stands to profit by billions of dollars if this comes to fruition. War is very profitable for politicians and their corporate cronies, but for the rest of us, it would inflict a heavy toll. (If you haven’t read it yet, I strongly recommend picking up a copy of the anti-war classic, War Is a Racket by General Smedley Butler.)   Continue reading “Washington Warmongers Make 11th Hour Attempt To Start a War With Russia”

The Snowball Method is a snazzy little trick that can help you pay off debt as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Many Americans owe so much money that they have no idea how they’ll manage to pay it off, and Christmas just made it worse. Even though the bills haven’t come rolling in yet, a survey from T. Rowe Price speculated that average spending this year would be $422 per child. (Which means half of Americans intended to spend more than that.) Because many Americans have little cash to spare, it’s a safe bet that these Christmas gifts were directly added to credit card debt.   Continue reading “How to Use the Snowball Method to Get Out of Debt Quickly”

When you think of “political resistance” what comes to mind? For me it’s things like this:

Marches and protests.

Civil disobedience.   Continue reading “Anti-Trump Comics by “Triggered” Feminists Are “an Act of Political Resistance””

Here in America, we’re preparing to eat until we waddle, open gift after gift, and travel to see loved ones. Meanwhile, the Christmas scenario in Venezuela is very different indeed.

Did you ever wonder what Christmas might be like after it hits the fan? Here’s a glimpse.   Continue reading “Venezuela: What Christmas Is Like During an Economic Collapse”

The easiest propaganda to sell is the kind that shows people exactly what they want to see and supports the emotions that people want to feel.

A while back I wrote an article about the power of subliminal messaging. Most of the folks who read it agreed that it goes on, but felt like they were immune to its effects. With all the “fake news” that has been in the media of late, I thought you might find this little social observation about subliminal messaging, propaganda, and cognitive dissonance to be interesting.   Continue reading “Propaganda: Staged Photos from Aleppo Show People Exactly What They Want to See”

The Electoral College will cast their votes. They’ll either follow the rules that have governed every election in American history, or they’ll bow to liberal pressure and steal the election from President-Elect Trump. It’s unlikely that enough electoral voters will defect to keep Trump out of office, but the possibility is one that should raise some concern.

To use a sports metaphor, this could be anybody’s game.   Continue reading “Will the Electoral College Go Rogue?”

Enough with “the Russians” already. This “Russian Disinformation” and “Russian Hacking” stuff is getting more ridiculous by the day.

First, don’t let the irony escape you that most, if not all, of the pundits breathlessly blaming the Russians for “fake news” and “election interference” are the very ones who were saying that Hillary Clinton was a shoe-in for president. They’re the ones who were providing her campaign with questions in advance, and allowing her people to approve/disapprove of articles.   Continue reading “There’s a Psy-OP, All Right, But It Isn’t “The Russians””

We all have them. Those people we care about who think we’re nuttier than a bag of pecans for our prepping endeavors.

Although they’re doubting Thomases, we still love them and want them to be safe in an emergency. I’ve put together a list of gifts with a survival twist that you can get for the folks you love. One day, they may look at that gift, think of you, and be extremely grateful. (Here’s an article about some gentle persuasion to get them on board.)   Continue reading “Stealth Survivalist Christmas Gifts for the Non-Preppers in Your Life”

If you’re reading this website, my guess is that you, too, want to raise children who are free and self-sufficient. Most of us are pretty horrified with Generation Snowflake, and we want our kids to buck that particular trend. There’s nothing better than a good book to point them in the right direction.

My daughters are total bookworms, so I enlisted their help to compile this list of favorites. Some folks may pooh-pooh the idea of fiction as  a teaching tool, but reading about a character who is smart, adaptable, self-reliant, and skilled can influence the way your child or teenager thinks.  Many of them are just tales of kids who are put into situations in which they must rely on their wits and courage to survive, while others outline the dangers of too much government.   Continue reading “20 Works of Fabulous Fiction to Inspire Self-Reliant, Liberty-Loving Children and Teens”

Anyone familiar with scientist and inventor extraordinaire Elon Musk knows that he has some visionary ideas for the future.

For example, his Hyperloop transport system, which will be able to move people and cargo at speeds of up to 800 mph, could revolutionize transportation. He is also the founder of Space X, the company behind building interplanetary rockets that will, according to Musk, transport everything required to build a colony on Mars. His reusable interplanetary transport system (ITS) will move 100 people at a time to the off-world base once it is ready for occupation.   Continue reading “WiFi-Capable Brain Implants: What Could Possibly Go Wrong?”

Well, these boots are made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do
One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you
You keep lyin’ when you oughta be truthin’
You keep losing when you oughta not bet
You keep samin’ when you oughta be a’changin’
What’s right is right but you ain’t been right yet

I’m getting pretty used to the things I write being scorned as “fake news” by the people who just wish I’d shut up and go away. I understand that cognitive dissonance runs deep and that you can’t reach everyone. I tend to ignore them and carry on with what I’m doing.

But Faux Fox News got my attention with today’s headline:

Man with rifle arrested at DC restaurant targeted by fake news conspiracy theories

Seriously?   Continue reading “MSM and Social Media Discredit #PizzaGate as a “Fake News Conspiracy Theory””

Every kid in America liked Christmas a lot, but the Left, north of Politically Correctville, did NOT.

While the holiday season used to be one of peace, love, and joy, it seems that lately, the politically correct set seems determined to crush every jingling bell under the heel of their jackboots, particularly at colleges and universities across the country.  The Left is stealing Christmas just as certainly as any Grinch in Whoville.   Continue reading “How the Left Stole Christmas from Universities Across America”

This is one of the weirdest stories I’ve heard in a long time. So very weird that I have to call BS (baloney sandwiches) on the whole darned thing.

Last week, 8500 people were sent to the hospital in Melbourne, Australia during a period of five hours due to a freak storm that caused what authorities are referring to as “thunderstorm asthma.” An ambulance was dispatched every 4.5 seconds during the peak of the storm, and eight people died. (Learn more here.)   Continue reading “Do You Really Think a Group “Asthma Attack” Caused 8500 People to Drop Like Flies in Australia?”

Every few years, some people get mad and burn the American flag and all heck breaks loose.

Currently, flags are being burned on a regular basis all over the country ever since Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the race for the presidency, and people are responding in the usual dramatic fashion, with cries for new amendments to outlaw the act, threats of physical violence, and all sorts of hair-rending.   Continue reading “Unless Someone Is Burning YOUR Flag, Flag-Burning Is Not Illegal”

When Americans aren’t paying attention, sneaky things tend to happen. While we were all distracted by the aftermath of the election, the US Congress decided to get the war ball rolling with Syria.

On November 15, while cities across America were under siege from anti-Trump protesters and rioters, a handful of members of the House of Representatives quietly passed H.R.5732 – the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2016. Of course, they’re going to be “protecting” those civilians with a no-fly zone over the country. Consortium News reported:   Continue reading “Congress Is Sneaking Through Legislation for a No-Fly Zone Over Syria”
