On February 9th, 2016, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments for two Second Amendment cases.  They were Jeff Silvester v. Kamala Harris, in which the District Court found that the California statute that required a waiting period for people to purchase a firearm, even though they already owned a gun and had passed a background check, was unconstitutional.   Continue reading “CA: Oral Arguments Heard on Unconstitutional Waiting Period, Ban on Gun Advertising in Ninth Circuit”

Disarmists use the bandwagon fallacy, (argumentum ad populum) to promote citizen disarmament.  In essence, the non-argument makes the claim; everyone else disarms their population – so we should do the same.  This is a logical fallacy.  Perhaps you remember a parent telling you “if everyone is jumping off a bridge, it does not mean that you should”.

How did most of the rest of the world come to have gun control imposed on them? It was done by force of arms.   Continue reading “How was Gun Control Imposed Upon an Unwilling World?”

Portland, OR — On the surface, it would seem that Black Lives Matter and the militia groups that recently occupied a wildlife refuge in Oregon have very little in common. However, they are very much fighting the same struggle, and they have a common enemy.

The media and the political establishment would like to see these groups divided, because if they unify, they could make a strong and worthy opponent for the current control system.   Continue reading “Black Lives Matter Teams Up with Oregon Occupier Supporters to Fight for Police Accountability”

These are strange monetary times, with negative interest rates and central bankers deemed to be masters of the universe. So maybe we shouldn’t be surprised that politicians and central bankers are now waging a war on cash. That’s right, policy makers in Europe and the U.S. want to make it harder for the hoi polloi to hold actual currency.   Continue reading “This Is The Real Reason For The War On Cash”

Tech entrepreneur Justin Keller stoked San Francisco’s growing reputation for insensitivity to the misery of the impoverished by telling Mayor Ed Lee in an open letter that he is “outraged” that wealthy workers, who he says “have earned their right to live in the city,” have to see people in pain and despair.

“I am writing today, to voice my concern and outrage over the increasing homeless and drug problem that the city is faced with. I’ve been living in SF for over three years, and without a doubt it is the worst it has ever been,” Keller wrote on his blog. “Every day, on my way to, and from work, I see people sprawled across the sidewalk, tent cities, human feces, and the faces of addiction. The city is becoming a shanty town … Worst of all, it is unsafe. …”   Continue reading “San Francisco ‘Tech Bro’ Complains to Mayor That He Has to See Poor People in Despair”

In January 2016, police killed 113 people — at least one person was fatally gunned down by a cop every day that month. One particularly deadly day, January 27, saw ten people meet their fate, thanks to the police. On average, that is almost 4 people a day.

A woman charged with conspiracy in the takeover of an Oregon wildlife refuge last month has filed a rambling counter-complaint in which she accuses the federal government of working for the devil and demands $666,666,666,666.66 in damages.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is expanding its counter-terrorism efforts by launching a propaganda site for children, complete with a comically primitive video game that no kid would want to play.

The stated purpose of the FBI’s new program, called “Don’t Be A Puppet: Pull Back the Curtain on Violent Extremism,” is to “keep young people…from embracing violent extremist ideologies in the first place.”   Continue reading “The FBI Just Released a Video Game to Propagandize Children — It’s Both Orwellian and Terrible”

A recent examination of National Security Agency documents previously released by whistleblower Edward Snowden shows that the CIA and other U.S. agencies may be killing innocent people as a result of their reliance on metadata.

The NSA’s SKYNET is a program that surveils phone metadata in order to track suspected terrorists. Through SKYNET, the security agency engages in mass surveillance of Pakistan’s mobile phone network, affecting 55 million people — but that’s not all. Once the data is gathered, it’s run through a machine learning algorithm that attempts to rate whether a particular individual is more or less likely to be a terrorist.   Continue reading “The NSA Actually Has A Program Called SKYNET — And It’s Terrifying”

Great Falls, MT — Sunday night, a family sat down to watch the mid-season premiere of the show “The Walking Dead,” and nearly ended up getting raided by dozens of police officers because their neighbors thought that they heard something suspicious. What they actually heard was the nearby family listening to the show at a high volume, but the neighbors alleged that they heard screaming, and talks of someone “having a gun.”

Without checking out the situation for themselves to see if anything truly suspicious was going on, the nosy neighbors instantly called the police, who showed up quickly and in large numbers.   Continue reading “Cops Swarm Family’s Home During ‘Walking Dead’ Because Neighbors Called 9-1-1 on the TV”

One of the most insidious abuses of state power lies in the practice of civil asset forfeiture (CAF), where government agents can seize cash and property from citizens who are not charged with a crime. Law enforcement needs only the suspicion (often concocted) of a crime to immediately steal a person’s belongings, and the person must then prove his or her innocence with costly attorney’s fees to get their property back.   Continue reading “Co-creator of Civil Asset Forfeiture Wants to Abolish It, No More Policing for Profit”

We’ve reported before on how calling the police for help these days in the modern American police state usually ends in less help and more death, pets included.

This time the woman was actually calling for an ambulance and not the cops, but since all first response tech is now integrated, the cops were sent anyway.   Continue reading “Police Shoot Suicidal Dad 11 Times… While He Lay In Bed Crying”

The handgun used in last week’s apparent murder-suicide of two 15-year-old girls found shot dead at their suburban Phoenix high school was furnished by a fellow student at the request of one of the girls, police said on Tuesday.
