Introduction: Since 1987, one of my goals as a reporter has been to educate the public about false science.

Between then and now, I have found that, with remarkably few exceptions, mainstream reporters are studiously indifferent to false science.

They shy away from it. They pretend “it couldn’t be.” They refuse to consider facts. They and their editors parrot “the experts.”   Continue reading “Official science: the grand illusion”

Chicago on Thursday released video footage of a fatal Chicago police shooting of a black teenager in 2013 after a court ruling, as protesters renewed criticism of Mayor Rahm Emanuel for the handling of police killings.

Images from neighborhood surveillance cameras showing the killing of Cedrick Chatman, 17, in January 2013 had been sealed under a protective order. The city also released audio recordings.   Continue reading “Chicago releases videos of police shooting of black teen”

The two US Navy riverine command boats intercepted in Iranian territorial waters yesterday were sent on their way along with the crew of 10 US sailors after brief detention on Iranian soil. According to news reports, the well-armed warships either suffered mechanical or navigational difficulties which caused them to enter Iranian territory (although it may well have been a game of cat-and-mouse to test the Iranian response). The US sailors were apparently treated well, enjoyed what appeared a decent meal in relaxed surroundings, and in the end apologized for the mistake and praised their treatment by the Iranians.    Continue reading “Sen. McCain Furious Iran Treated US Sailors Well”

One of the recurring themes in Obama’s final State of the Union address was describing the strength of the economic recovery as witnessed by the number of job gains over the past 6 (if not exactly 7) years, clearly a purely quantitative metric. There was no discussion of the qualitative component of these job gains for one simple reason: as we have explained for years, the bulk of new labor has gone to undereducated, minimum wage (and often part-time) workers.   Continue reading ““The Job Gains Have Gone To The Least Educated, And Lowest-Paid, Workers””

On Monday the Supreme Court declined to hear a petition from the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) that sought to force the Department of Homeland Security to release details of a secret “killswitch” protocol to shut down cellphone and Internet service during emergencies.

EPIC has been fighting since 2011 to release the details of the program, which is known as Standard Operating Procedure 303. EPIC writes, “On March 9, 2006, the National Communications System (‘NCS’) approved SOP 303, however it was never released to the public. This secret document codifies a ‘shutdown and restoration process for use by commercial and private wireless networks during national crisis.’”   Continue reading “The US Government Has An Internet Killswitch — And It’s None Of Your Business”

It would appear a large segment of the liberal Dem population is definitely “Ready for Hillary”… to take away your guns, America.

After focusing her campaign around the idea that the U.S. desperately needs more gun control in recent months leading up to and following Obama’s executive action announcement, famous pro-gun controllers with deep pockets are throwing money at Hillary to be the next commander-in-chief.   Continue reading ““Ready For Hillary… To Take Your Guns”: Brady Campaign Backs Clinton As Gun Control Advocates Throw Themselves At Her Presidential Campaign”

Without a detailed study of the nature of the alleged killing of Bin Laden, suffice it to say that there is overwhelming and credible evidence suggesting that the entire affair was designed to drum up support for a faltering administration, the war on terror, and the phony narrative of the al-Qaeda bogeyman.   Continue reading “Hillary Clinton, The Fake Bin Laden Killing, And The Fake Photos That Accompanied It”

Ynetnews reports: Iran has announced that it will be holding a cartoon contest aimed at creating caricatures denying the Holocaust. This year, the contest’s grand prize has been increased from $12,000 to $50,000.

The contest, organized by the Teheran municipal authority, is calling for cartoonists worldwide to send in works denying and satirizing the Holocaust. Unlike previous contests of this kind, this one is especially significant due the fact that it is organized by official authorities of the Iranian capital, and has an international emphasis. The prize money is also several times what it was before.   Continue reading “Iran Holds Holocaust-Denying Cartoon Contest”

At Pennsylvania State University, no hurt feeling is too small, no slight too inconsequential, no unintentionally biased statement too unimportant.

Administrators want to know it all.

The public university is in the midst of a massive campaign that encourages students not only to watch what they say, lest they offend someone, but also to report any and all biased statements to campus officials.   Continue reading “Penn State asks students to report microaggressions to administrators”

A new lawsuit filed on behalf of several Atheist plaintiffs argues the phrase “In God We Trust” on U.S. money is unconstitutional, and calls for the government to get rid of it.

Sacramento attorney Michael Newdow filed the lawsuit Monday in Akron, Ohio. He’d unsuccessfully sued the government at least twice challenging the use of the phrase “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance.   Continue reading “Lawsuit demands US remove ‘In God We Trust’ from money”

Between incessant waves of applause breaks and standing ovations, President Barack Obama delivered his final State of the Union address Tuesday night. Boasting about economic growth and military prowess, the president made several misleading statements while failing to disclose numerous politically inconvenient facts.

“Let me start with the economy and a basic fact,” Obama stated on Tuesday. “The United States of America right now has the strongest, most durable economy in the world.”   Continue reading “7 Lies From Obama’s Last State of the Union Address that the Media is Ignoring”

If there is ever a perfect example of dual-use technology, it is WiFi connectivity. I’ve already covered the mounting evidence that our ubiquitous gadgets and wireless connections are doing irreparable physical harm, especially to the young and to pregnant women, but the concern about surveillance is running a parallel track.

Recent announcements in the UK and in New York City have shown that governments are working with private corporations to blanket entire cities with WiFi connectivity. Naturally they are appealing to people’s love of technology for entertainment and business to push this agenda forward.   Continue reading “How WiFi Will Be Used To Erase Civil Liberties”

On the 10th day of an armed standoff on federal property near Burns, Oregon, the leader of a rancher militia, Ammon Bundy, said he and his supporters “are breaking codes and regulations, but we are not breaking the supreme law of the land.”

RT’s Simone Del Rosario took a tour around the Malheur National Wildlife Preserve with Bundy, who led militia members and anti-government activists in a takeover on January 2. They believe that the federal ownership of the land is unconstitutional and that it should belong to the local community.   Continue reading “‘We may be breaking codes, but not supreme law of the land’ – Bundy”

The Texas activist group Don’t Comply was making waves again this week after they were ejected from a bioterrorism drill for filming. Members of Don’t Comply signed up to be “crisis actors” in a mock government drill, which is said to train police and emergency crews for an actual attack.

Don’t Comply members Matthew Short, Murdoch Pizgatti, Brett Sanders and others were accepted to take part in the drill, and they decided to bring their cameras and film the event so they could give the public a better idea of how these drills work and ultimately, how their tax dollars are spent. The group had responded to a public call for volunteers that was broadcast through NBC News. The article asked for 200 volunteers play the role of a “patient” in a mock bioterrorism attack.   Continue reading “Activists Sign Up As “Crisis Actors,” Infiltrate Govt Terrorism Drill Before Being Kicked out for Filming”

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” – Second Amendment to the United States Constitution

Clearly the idea behind the phrase “shall not be infringed” has been completely ignored not only by the current administration, but by various Congresses and Presidents throughout our history. However, at no time in our history has the issue of guns been such a target as they have been under Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah. Now, another piece of unconstitutional legislation is being pushed by the Obama administration in 2016, courtesy of Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) that seeks to ban semi-automatic rifles and handguns in a fictitious “assault weapons ban.”   Continue reading “The New Assault Weapons Ban Bill Targets Every Semi-Automatic Rifle, Handgun and Shotgun”

Even as Obama takes his anti-gun crusade to new highs with every passing week, having recently started dispensing executive orders, the president conveniently continues to ignore the state of affairs in his native Chicago – a city in which guns are banned – yet where the shooting epidemic has never been worse, and is truly emblematic of the “gun problem” America has.

Judging by the most recent developments, Obama will have nothing to say about Chicago gun violence either during tonight’s state of the union address, or ever for that matter, because recent developments are downright disastrous.   Continue reading “Meanwhile In Chicago, 120 People Shot In First 10 Days Of 2016”
