Reports have claimed that the Iranian President was arrested this week and warned against releasing information which could prove damaging to the country’s Islamic regime.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was allegedly held for seven hours by the Revolutionary Guard on Monday and told to back down with claims that the regime defrauded voters at the last general election and allegations of fraud against political rivals. A 255 pound metal piece which officials say is landing gear from the 9/11 attacks, has been removed after an NYPD investigation of an alleyway in New York City Tuesday.
NEW YORK CITY — Investigators left no stone unturned as the investigated an alleyway Tuesday that had been blocked off and secured since last week in light of a new discovery. According to officials the jagged looking piece of equipment is indeed connected to the attacks that took place on September 11, 2001. Two Kazakh men and a third man have been arrested by federal authorities in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings, a law enforcement official familar with the case said this morning.
The two men, Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, came to America from the Central Asian nation to study at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was also enrolled. BOSTON – Prominent death penalty lawyer Judy Clarke is joining the team representing the suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.
The appointment of Clarke, based in San Diego, Calif., was approved Monday by U.S. Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler.
Bowler denied a request from Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s public defender to appoint a second death penalty lawyer. Bowler says Tsarnaev’s lawyers could renew their motion to appoint another death penalty expert if Tsarnaev is indicted. The Senate moved closer to passing the Internet sales tax on Thursday. The chamber had already started debate on the measure, dubbed the “Marketplace Fairness Act,” but the vote last week bypassed any hope of a filibuster.
