The annual Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) conference, held in 2012 in San Antonio, Texas, looks like any other industry gathering. The 600 or so attendees sip their complimentary Starbucks coffee, munch on small plates of muffins and fresh fruit, and backslap old acquaintances as they file into a sprawling Marriott hotel conference hall. They will hear a keynote address by Robert DuPont, who served as drug policy director under Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. With the possibility of North Korea escalating on the threat of a nuclear attack against US bases and possibly Hawaii or the west coast of the US mainland, Joe Biden reassured Democrats during a recent California speech that he’ll personally take the fight to the enemy.’  “I’ll get myself on a B-52 and drop the damn thing myself if that fat little pinko chink bastard Kim tries anything funny.”

The European Police Office said Friday that Mexican criminal gangs are trying to establish themselves as major players in Europe’s drug market and reportedly have been involved in the region in cases of weapons and human trafficking.

Some of the Gang’s  members have been convicted of  assaulting officers and constituents, corruption, extortion, theft, obstruction of justice, bribery, perjury,  tax evasion, child porn, battery, and child molestation. They have attacked constituents and police officers, destroyed houses with sledge hammers, and even stolen gift cards donated for the poor. Students at a school in Albany were assigned to think like a Nazi and make a persuasive argument about why Jews are evil.

“You need to pretend that I am a member of the government in Nazi Germany, and you are being challenged to convince me that you are loyal to the Nazis by writing an essay convincing me that Jews are evil and the source of our problems,” the teacher told the students.

The city of New Rochelle, N.Y., has removed the historic Gadsden “Don’t Tread On Me” flag from a military armory, deeming the flag “too partisan” because it often is used by the tea party movement.

And in response, veterans groups have tapped the Thomas More Law Center to take up the fight.

It was after an official ceremony on March 21 at the New Rochelle Armory that a new American flag was unfurled to replace the previous weathered flag that flew at the location. Though serious questions remain about the nuclear threat posed by North Korea, a recently disclosed assessment by the Pentagon claims that Pyongyang has the ability to assemble a nuclear weapon small enough for launch via ballistic missile.

The new information came at a Thursday budget session of the House Armed Services Committee, where US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel claimed all the same that North Korea is still not able to attack the US with a missile carrying a nuclear warhead. At the same conference, National Intelligence Director James Clapper claimed that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s latest threats are simply a bid to “elicit recognition from the world, specifically the United States … of North Korea’s arrival on the scene as a nuclear power.”   Continue reading “N.
