The roll call of US sailors irradiated while delivering humanitarian help near the stricken Fukushima nuke who say their health has been devastated continues to grow.

So many have come forward that the progress of their federal class action lawsuit has been delayed.

Bay area lawyer Charles Bonner says a re-filing will wait until early February to accommodate a constant influx of sailors from the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan and other American ships.   Continue reading “The Irradiated Sailors of Fukushima”

As we approach the centennial of World War I, we will read much of the blunders that produced that tragedy of Western civilization.

Among them will be the “blank check” Kaiser Wilhelm II gave to Vienna after the assassination by a Serb terrorist of the Austrian Archduke Francis Ferdinand.

If you decide to punish the Serbs, said the Kaiser, we are with you.   Continue reading “A Blank Check for War on Iran”

Photographer Chris Du Plessis and Mtombi the Cheetah reviewing the photosDaily Mail – by Ted Thornhill

This picture captures the incredible moment a photographer lies in the grass beside a cheetah at an African game reserve.

The predator is the picture of spotty elegance as she poses with the photographer and peers down the camera.

The beautiful beast has her ears pricked ready to stalk some prey – but luckily seems to have no appetite for the man beside her.   Continue reading “Amazing moment a cheetah lies down next to a photographer and even lets him stroke her head”

Maine joined Connecticut this week as the second state in the nation to sign a genetically modified food labeling law, but you may not have heard much about it because the mainstream media hasn’t really said anything about it.

Do a basic news engine search and you’ll see that no mainstream media outlets have reported anything on this story. In fact, at the time of writing this, the most I could find was Washington Post Blog and Grist (with a ridiculously biased title).   Continue reading “Mainstream Media Blackout: Maine Second State to Pass GMO Labeling Law”

The previous record for manatee deaths was 766 in 2010. At that time cold weather was largely blamed for the die-off.   Continue reading “Florida Manatees Dying at Record Pace”

Because independence is the greatest of all crimes under the emerging global government, which essentially works to protect the dominance established by the biggest of corporations, who participate, in turn, as de facto members of the ruling oligarchy – and in baby steps through the EU, and emerging North American Union, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, et al.

The U.S. has already seen its fair share of cases where backyard gardens and rain collectors are raided by SWAT teams, shut down through regulations and otherwise intimidated out of proliferation.   Continue reading “EU To Ban Heirloom Seeds and Criminalize Unregistered Gardens”

Cop Block – by Eric E. ID-CopBlock

I was pulled over on November 19th and arrested within three minutes of first contact, without having done anything illegal.

The reason given for the initial stop was an alleged lack of lights on a bicycle. The officer asked me for an ID and I responded by asking if I was legally required to show an ID. (I knew I was not. If the officer had reasonable suspicion that I had committed or was about to commit a crime, I would have been compelled to give my name, and I would have if asked. But he never once asked for my name, only for a physical ID, which I am not even required to carry.)   Continue reading “Veteran Arrested for Asking Cop to Show ID”
