Middle-class wages in progressive California have risen by 1 percent in the last 40 years, says a study by the establishment California Budget and Policy Center.

The gunman who went on a rampage in West Texas Saturday was deemed mentally unfit and had been banned from buying firearms in the criminal background check system, according to the Wall Street Journal.
36-year-old Seth Ator, who a neighbor described as a “violent, aggressive person,” killed seven people when he opened fire in an Odessa movie theater after being fired from his oil services job earlier that morning. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to an incident that ended in an officer-involved shooting in the 3000 block of Second Street in Silver Springs on Monday. It came after calls for a physical domestic battery.
“There were two 911 calls that came in. Upon arrival of the residence, things escalated rather quickly and shots were fired inside the residence,” Lt. Jerry Pattison, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said. “One deputy was injured and the individual who had attacked the cops was pronounced dead on-scene.”

(Reuters) – A 14-year-old American boy shot and killed five family members at their home in Alabama, before throwing away the pistol and calling police, officials said on Tuesday, in the latest high-profile gun crime.

Over the holiday weekend, a gun-wielding group of people tried to storm their way into a Houston Popeyes outpost in search of the chain’s elusive chicken sandwich.
The attempted sandwich robbery allegedly went down on Monday night at the Popeyes location at 7159 Scott Street in Southeast Houston, according to ABC 7. After being told in the drive-thru line that the location was, like all other Popeyes restaurants, sold out of chicken sandwiches, a group of five people reportedly tried to storm their way into the restaurant, and one man involved was carrying a gun. According to the Wireless Estimator, T-Mobile is postponing new builds and 5G upgrades at least for now. A construction manager who wants to remain anonymous blames the 15 state attorneys general for filing lawsuits against the T-Mobile / Sprint Merger. Most of these children riding their bikes in neighborhoods will likely not stop at stop signs and most of them will not be thrown to the grown and handcuffed by cops. Walmart (WMT) is proposing bold changes to its gun policy that will end sales of certain weapons, following a deadly mass shooting at one of its stores in El Paso, Texas, and an incident days earlier at another location in Southaven, Mississippi.
The retail giant will continue to cater to sportsmen and hunters, but plans to end the sale of certain types of ammunition. That includes exiting the handgun category completely, and asking shoppers not to carry firearms into its stores—even in open-carry states. Three truck drivers were among the victims of a mass shooting in West Texas on Saturday, Aug. 31, in which a truck driver who had reportedly been fired killed seven people and injured 22 others.
Two truckers were killed and another was injured in a shooting spree by Seth Aaron Ator, 36, who was reportedly fired from his oil field service trucking job hours before the shooting in Odessa and Midland, Texas. On Labor Day, Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden called for a ban on magazines holding “multiple bullets,” which is essentially a ban on magazines holding more than one round.
