With the current shortage of ammunition and the consequent high prices, it makes more sense now than ever before to learn how to reload your own fired brass casings.  I even suspect that in the future, this may well be the only way for the ordinary citizen to obtain ammunition. It’s not at all difficult, it only requires a little understanding of the process, and the ability to follow directions. This will become very important later, as each caliber requires its own set of powders, charges, primers, and bullets. No one can learn them all, there are millions of potential combinations. But the data has already been compiled for you in hundreds of tables in loading manuals(more on these later…) and on the Internet.  Continue reading “Loading Your Own Ammunition”

The Aug. 29 shooting of a 34-year-old Portland man during a Biggs Junction traffic stop was justified, Sherman County district attorney Wade McLeod said Tuesday and he will not convene a grand jury to review the case.

John Van Allen II was shot and killed by Oregon State Police trooper Matt Zistel, 26, just before 1 p.m. after he was pulled over in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 just east of Biggs Junction. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke’s decision to go ahead with unabated quantitative easing (QE) seems to have taken many by surprise. To such an extent that, from now on, the major market participants are saying they have totally lost faith in Ben Bernanke. True, Ben Bernanke has been saying constantly, for the last four years, he would first taper and then end his QE plans, and then, at each FOMC meeting, he has been saying the opposite. The Fed has printed over $3Trillion since 2007.   Continue reading “Bernanke’s « Syrian Moment »”

California’s Obamacare network failed to register even one person for insurance on when the exchanges opened on Tuesday, according to a local TV station.

Covered California initially claimed 5 million visitors on the first day, but that turned out to be a web-page count of clicks by 500,000 visitors.

“There was about half a million people that visited the website,” said Lizelda Lopez, a spokeswoman for Covered California.   Continue reading “California’s Obamacare fails to enroll a single customer”

Say hello to Obamacare phones.

In Tennessee, those shopping on the new health insurance co-ops could end up with more than just some health insurance. They might even walk away with a free smartphone.

The Nashville Business Journal is reporting that Community Health Alliance, Tennessee’s Obamacare health insurance co-op, is using the prospect of a free phone to encourage folks to enroll:   Continue reading “Obamacare phones offered to health insurance buyers”

This article presents an example of how message encryption is done using a one-time pad(OTP).

In cryptography, the OTP is a very simple, yet completely unbreakable, symmetric cipher. The OTP is essentially a pad of papers on which each page has a unique set of random letters. The sender and receiver are given two pads. One half of one set for encipher and one half of another set for decipher goes to each person. Each letter on the pad is used to determine a single letter of the enciphered message. Since the letters on the pad are random, there is no formula that can be determined by studying the letters. Assuming that the pad is not compromised, and each page is used only once, the OTP system is unbreakable. That is why the one time pad is considered to be the holy grail of cryptography.   Continue reading “Encryption via a One-Time Pad”

Ah, living off the land. Thriving in the wilderness with the use of your skills. It is the ultimate goal of many bushcrafters and survivalists. Numerous posts have been written on forums about this subject, and as soon as one ends, another is started. Of course, actual evidence is rarely presented. We often fall back on positions such as “our ancestors did it, so clearly I can do it”, or “I was out last week and saw a bunch of cattails and barriers, so my food sources are secure”.   Continue reading “Living Off The Land: Delusions and Misconceptions About Hunting and Gathering”

The inability of the media and politicians to focus on the real issues never ceases to amaze.

The real crisis is not the “debt ceiling crisis.” The government shutdown is merely a result of the Republicans using the debt limit ceiling to attempt to block the implementation of Obamacare. If the shutdown persists and becomes a problem, Obama has enough power under the various “war on terror” rulings to declare a national emergency and raise the debt ceiling by executive order. An executive branch that has the power to inter citizens indefinitely and to murder them without due process of law, can certainly set aside a ceiling on debt that jeopardizes the government.   Continue reading “The Real Crisis Is Not The Government Shutdown”

silk roadFreeman’s Perspective – by Paul Rosenberg

You may have heard that Silk Road – the truly free online market – was taken down today, by the FBI. In response, the price of Bitcoin crashed 24%.

Yet here I am – just a few hours later, feeling very optimistic. Why? Because the philosophy offreedom just showed itself to be massively stronger than statism and its “don’t think, just obey” philosophy.   Continue reading “Silk Road Died, Bitcoin Crashed, So Why am I so Happy?”

[Editor’s Note. ZS Livingstone was likely the first reporter on the Internet to promptly alert the public on March 12, 2011 and again on March 14, 2011, of the heinous crimes of sabotage, destruction, and murder inflicted on the people of Japan on March 11, 2011 by the US government, with Israeli/Illuminati cabal collusion. There was no natural 9.0 earthquake and there was no “tsunami” that caused the massive destruction and loss of life in northern Japan on 3/11. There was only high tech sabotage and a media propaganda blitz carried out by the psychopathic, satanic criminals who control the US government and its military. Someday, the true story of the 3/11 attack on Japan will be told in full. In the meantime, we continue to cherish the remarkable insights offered by ZSl to enlighten and educate…Ken Adachi]   Continue reading “In Praise of Tokyo Electric Power Company TEPCO”

I can’t really mourn too much that the Food and Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency are unable to continue wreaking regulatory havoc on the little guys due to the government shutdown.  In fact, I think a celebration just might be in order.  This could be a good chance for folks to see how unnecessary the intervention of  the government is in running the minute details of our everyday lives.   Continue reading “FDA and EPA are Victims of the Government Shutdown – Is This Supposed to be a Bad Thing?”

People only really find out they are dependent on something when it stops providing, and at that point its often too late to survive without it’.

We are being forced to awaken to the shocking fact that governments and the financial systems are collapsing, as they were always destined to do,  being based on short term greed, fear, recklessness, and managed without vision and wisdom. The first big card to fall is the US, and others will undoubtedly follow.    Continue reading “Breaking The Chains: Our Financial System is Pulling Us Down”

A natural gas well is drilled near Canton, in Bradford County, Pennsylvania (Reuters)RT News

Researchers have found high levels of radioactivity, salts, and metals in water and sediment located downstream from a treatment facility which processes fracking wastewater from oil and gas production sites in Pennsylvania’s Marcellus shale formation.

A Duke University team analyzed water and sediment samples from the Josephine Brine Treatment Facility in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, finding radium levels 200 times greater than samples taken upstream from the plant and far higher than what’s allowed under the Clean Water Act.    Continue reading “‘Alarming’ presence of radioactivity found by Pennsylvania fracking wastewater study”

TOKYO (AP) — The United States and Japan moved Thursday to modernize and expand their defense alliance to counter new challenges, including a nuclear-armed North Korea and potential aggression from China over disputed territory.

In the first update to the defense partnership in 16 years, the allies agreed to position a second early-warning radar in Japan within the next year to help protect against North Korea. And by next spring, they will deploy new long-range surveillance drones to help monitor disputed islands in the East China Sea, a move that may well raise tensions with Beijing.   Continue reading “US, Japan to deploy new radar, drones in next year”

So: I am now revealed as a rabid communist, intent on victimizing innocent families just trying to survive, redistributing their stuff.

That is not even half the truth of it: in fact I am a secret agent of King George (who is still alive in a sealed wing of Buckingham Palace). My mission is to foment revolution in order for the King to take back the thirteen colonies, upon which two hundred years of back tax is due to the Crown. The King will also outlaw coffee, making tea drinking compulsory. There is a fleet of Royal Navy wooden ships armed with cannon off the coast of Virginia right now, loaded with Red Coats armed with muskets, who will invade to enforce this..    Continue reading “Teamwork Vs.
