The Senate beat back a new gun rights push Wednesday, defeating a proposal to expand the rights of gun owners to carry their weapons on federal lands.

Cleveland police reported Wednesday that the three women were bound by chains and rope, but questions remain about how the suspect avoided detection for a decade, despite a neighbor’s claims that they called the police over his suspicious behavior.
The three women – Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus – were held captive in a west side residential neighborhood for about a decade by the suspect, 52-year-old Ariel Castro, evidently with help from brothers Pedro Castro, 54, and Onil Castro, 50. The project was initiated by a listener of the Americas Voice Now radio program who volunteered to put up one of three parcels of land to any manufacturer or distributor who would move to the region. I spoke with Tim Manning, a popular Southern Nationalist and Christian pastor from Greensboro, North Carolina, over the weekend. Mr. Manning’s home was raided late Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning. According to Manning, the raid consisted of at least one police officer form Kernersville Police Department with a Department of Homeland Security vest, along with 6 to 10 or more law enforcement officers in heavy body armor. A little over a month after the September 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi, that left four Americans dead, then CIA Director David Petraeus denied that the CIA issued any type of stand down orders to those requesting to assist in Benghazi, leaving only one person that could have given such an order. This came as it was revealed that there were people on the ground with targets painted and air support overhead and the strike was called off. The following photos were released May 2, 2013 by the (Propaganda section) US 138th Public Affairs Detachment. The photos depict Joint Task Force Guantanamo’s “Behavioral Health Unit” and Joint Medical Group facilities where detainees are force-fed due to an ongoing hunger strike among more than two-thirds of the detainees. The photos released by the military show soldiers trying to provide food to the detainees in Camp 5 and 6, then throwing the food away after it is refused by the detainees. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Air Force stripped an unprecedented 17 officers of their authority to control — and, if necessary, launch — nuclear missiles after a string of unpublicized failings, including a remarkably dim review of their unit’s launch skills.
