Wake Up From Your Slumber

A propaganda event in Paris on Thursday was supposed to showcase Tel Aviv as a beacon of fun and tolerance.

Instead, “Tel Aviv sur Seine” (Tel Aviv on the Seine) turned into more of a real life taste of Israeli military occupation and a public relations disaster for its organizers.

The party at a simulated beach on the banks of the River Seine was supposed to celebrate “Israeli nightlife” and carefree living. NEW ORLEANS – A Walmart store in Gentilly was evacuated and SWAT teams were called when a suspect walked into a store with a handgun early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. in the 4300 block of Chef Menteur.

According to police spokesman Garry Flot, when the armed gunman walked into the store, customers and employees inside began running out of the store. When police arrived they assisted several people who had not yet left the store. PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A woman has filed a formal complaint after police entered and searched her home — without consent or a warrant — all to conduct a so-called “welfare check” on her absent roommate.

In its coverage of the brutal murders of four people in Florida, including an unborn child, NBC News didn’t point out that the teenage suspect is an illegal immigrant until the final paragraph of its story on the gruesome killings east of Fort Myers. You have to read all the way to the end of the 8-paragraph report before you’re told that the “teenager from Belize,” identified as Brian Omar Hyde, illegally crossed the Texas border about seven months ago.

Hyde reportedly made his way to Florida, where he apparently lived with or near the people he’s now charged with slaughtering. One of the victims was said to have been a relative of the 19-year-old who allegedly beat his victims to death. The Oath Keepers and other militia groups are celebrating a victory after a conflict over surface rights for a mine in Montana was taken to court. The militias were brought in to protect mine owners from federal interference.
