A grand jury has indicted six police officers in the death of Freddie Gray, a Baltimore resident who died after sustaining a spinal cord injury while in police custody.
On May 1, State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby charged all six officers involved in the incident and said Gray’s arrest was illegal.

Some 1,000 anti-low pay protesters have delivered a petition with over 1 million signatures to McDonald’s headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois. Ten workers from the crowd were permitted into the fast food giant’s compound to hand it over.

DENVER — A video posted to Facebook by a Denver mother has gone viral after she shamed her 13-year-old daughter for posing as a 19-year-old and posting suggestive photos.

Jorge Ramos, the influential host of Univision’s Noticiero Univision, said the Latino vote will decide the 2016 presidential election and that Hispanics could see a reward for providing the margin of victory.
In an interview with Harvard University’s Institute of Politics following a speech to students, Ramos predicted that about 16 million Hispanics will go to the polls, likely to vote Democratic based on past trends. Los Angeles, CA – LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The downtown Federal Building was evacuated today when a woman carrying a backpack claimed she had a bomb in the lobby of the building.

According to The Gazette in Colorado, something very unusual is about to happen – by some accounts, the largest military convoy since World War 2 will soon take place; more than 4,000 soldiers and more than 300 Stryker armored vehicles and other rigs from Fort Carson will participate in a road trip from May 26th to May 30th to the Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site where soldiers will take part in a simulated war called ‘Raider Focus’. For days, the highways of Colorado will be packed with not only 300 Strykers but hundreds of other military trucks and humvees, taking off every half hour during convoy days and consisting of dozens of 15 to 30 vehicle convoys rather than just one huge US Army parade, for the 4 hour road trip. EL PASO, Texas – An active-duty Fort Bliss soldier self-reported for a two day DWI sentence at the El Paso County Jail in 2012 but died before he saw the light of day or his family again.
