On Sunday July 20, 2014 Baker’s Green Acres will be hosting ‘Constitution Hall at the Farm‘ with special guests Sheriff Richard Mack and KrisAnne Hall. Mark and Jill Baker will be roasting a fatted pig and a few chickens and plan to give a few tours. We’ll be learning about the Constitution and Bill of Rights from KrisAnne, and hearing about a Sheriff’s role in upholding those foundational principles from Richard Mack. KrisAnne and Sheriff Mack are coming to support Mark’s prospective bid for Missaukee County Sheriff. A freewill donation will be welcome to help us bring these nationally acclaimed speakers to northern Michigan and to support Mark’s campaign.

Libya is considering a deployment of international force to re-establish security amid a flare-up of violence in Tripoli which saw dozens of rockets destroy most of the civilian aircraft fleet at its international airport.
“The government is looking into the possibility of making an appeal for international forces on the ground to re-establish security and help the government impose its authority,” a government spokesman, Ahmed Lamine said in a statement. Nineteen people were killed on Tuesday and up to 120 injured when a Moscow underground train derailed between two stations during the morning rush hour, the Emergencies Ministry said.

Over the weekend, human smugglers led South Texas Border Patrol agents on a harrowing chase spanning five towns, which ultimately netted a staggering 23 illegal immigrants.
A witness alerted agents after seeing people being loaded into a truck near the border town of Weslaco.
