NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Forget the idea of “seeing is believing.” New technology is making digital media manipulation easier than ever.

The result? Phony videos that are popping up across the web.

One video making the rounds is of former-President Barack Obama delivering a speech that he never actually made. It’s part of a video trend circulating the internet called Deepfake, which has made it tougher to tell what’s real and what’s not.  Continue reading “Alarming Advances Made In Digital Media Manipulation”

SAN FRANCISCO — Uber has been sending self-driving trucks on delivery runs across Arizona since November, the first step in what promises to be a freight transportation revolution that could radically reshape the jobs of long-haul truckers.

After testing its technology earlier in 2017, Uber began contracting with trucking companies to use its own autonomous Volvo big rigs to take over loads as they traverse the state, it disclosed.    Continue reading “Uber trucks start shuttling goods across Arizona — by themselves”

Caliburger, a restaurant in Pasadena, California, has a new employee named Flippy. But this fry cook is different. It’s equipped with 6-axis arms and Artificial Intelligence. Flippy is a robot that unerringly cooks the perfect burger, every single time. And it’s helping to usher in a dependent society I’ll call modern feudalism.

Not only does Flippy cook the perfect burger, but the robot doesn’t need smoke breaks, doesn’t complain about raising the minimum wage, and doesn’t show up late for work. Flippy is there all the time, and once the robot is paid for, it is a lifer without any further paycheck except some maintenance costs. Sorta like a robot slave you can buy.   Continue reading “How Flippy the Robot Fry Cook Will Move Us One Step Closer to Modern Feudalism”

The US Navy boasts that it has deployed its first carrier-load of F-35B stealth attack planes to the Pacific Ocean. The USS Wasp departed Japan with an airworthy squadron of the super-expensive jets aboard.

“Pairing F-35B Lightning IIs with the USS Wasp represents one of the most significant leaps in warfighting capability for the Navy-Marine Corps team in our lifetime,” US Navy Rear Admiral Brad Cooper said in Monday’s statement. The Navy said it was “the first time the aircraft has deployed aboard a US Navy ship and with a Marine Expeditionary Unit in the Indo-Pacific.”   Continue reading “US Navy boasts ‘historic first’ shipboard deployment of F-35B to Pacific”

I try not to fearmonger here but unfortunately reality is pretty disturbing.   The basic fact is that the USA and most of the rest of the western world is under the control of some very evil people who have just about stolen the entire country out from under our feet,  and they are fully aware that the american people are unlikely to accept their new status as landless starving peasants in a calm and peaceful way when the harsh reality begins to dawn on the average person.   Thus the nearly hysterical push to disarm the public under any conceivable pretext as soon as possible.   Continue reading “Jim Willie: Fort Knox is a Nerve Gas Warehouse”

The JBS meatpacking company has raised salaries by 25 percent to help persuade more people to work in a Texas slaughterhouse, according to the Washington Post.

But that good news, however, is buried by the Post‘s endorsement of the meatpackers’ business strategy, which uses federal immigration programs to recruit replacements for injured or exhausted American workers and to minimize investment in labor-saving automation.   Continue reading “Jeff Bezos’ WashPost Endorses Meatpackers’ Cheap-Labor Immigration Strategy”

Last night, at Hollywood’s annual narcissistic love-fest, the 90th Academy Awards, host Jimmy Kimmel trashed President Trump and pontificated about gun control, urging the assembled Hollyweirdos to join the “amazing” students of Parkland in their “March for Our Lives” gun control march scheduled for March 24.

Meanwhile, a battalion of armed guards were on hand, to ensure the safety of the Hollyweirdos wearing orange lapel pins to advocate for gun control.   Continue reading “Hollywood gun hypocrisy: 500+ armed guards at 2018 Academy Awards”

The National Rifle Association has released a video containing a threatening message to journalists, warning them “your time is running out”.

In a video posted on Twitter by NRATV, conservative political activist and TV host Dana Loesch tells “every lying member of the media” that they have “had enough”.

Set to a backing track of ominous-sounding guitar music, the NRA spokeswoman appears on screen dressed in black with an hourglass by her side.   Continue reading “NRA issues threatening video warning journalists ‘your time is running out’”
