Originally designed 13 years ago, the 747 Supertanker was intended to be the biggest forest fire fighting weapon the world had ever seen. Evergreen International Airlines, based in McMinnville, Oregon, took one of their cargo 747’s, and redesigned the interior with firefighting equipment. Two days into the start of my daughter’s 7th grade school year, she brought home a document that triggered a bit of an apoplectic, expletive-laden meltdown for me, and it was all centered around one word, Patriotism. The document was a form the school wanted me to sign acknowledging my receipt of something called the “Framework for Citizenship- The Student Code of Conduct.”

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Atascocita homeowners who’ve already dealt with flooding say they are now dealing with looters.

Some neighbors have warned potential looters with threatening signs.

One read: “Warning!! Looters will be shot dead.” Another: “U Loot we will shoot.”

The Salt Lake City hospital where a police officer roughly arrested a nurse who was protecting her patient’s rights in July will no longer allow law enforcement agents inside its patient care areas. They’ll now have to check in, rather than enter through the emergency room.
