Activist Post – by Jeff Berwick

We have been reporting on how the US government is using very nefarious and egregious methods on tracking its own citizens’ financial information, fining them and even instituting the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) as a form of subterfuge capital controls which is closing off international banking to Americans (as we reported yesterday in Mexico).

FinCen, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, has, in essence, been making nearly any international transfers of money viewed as a criminal activity.  FATCA has been making it harder and harder for Americans to open international bank accounts.  And FBAR, the Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts, has made it a highly punishable offense for any American with a foreign account worth over $10,000 if they do not file an FBAR each year. Residents of a northern California county on Tuesday voted in favor of a measure that will now force local officials to consider a plan to secede from the state and form a new entity named Jefferson.

That decision — one of three related matters being considered by voters across the Golden State on Tuesday this week — passed by 55.74 percent in Tehama County, with nearly 1,000 more ballots cast towards seceding from California compared to staying.   Continue reading “California county votes to secede from the state”

Wiping out memories at a press of a button – just like with a ‘neuralizer’ from the Men in Black movie – may soon become a reality. Researchers have managed to erase and then restore lost memory in genetically modified rats with a flash of light.

The study by researchers from University of California in San Diego, published in Nature journal , is the first cause-and-effect evidence that strengthening or weakening connections between neurons in the brain can influence particular memories.   Continue reading “Scientists learn to selectively erase and restore memories in brain”

David Letterman Demands Gun Control, Attacks Second AmendmentInfowars – by Kit Daniels

In an attempt to prop up the failing gun control movement, television host David Letterman clamored for more gun control during a discussion with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper last night on The Late Show With David Letterman.

The nearly four minute segment was little more than a ploy to attack the Second Amendment, with Letterman setting aside comedy in favor of asking loaded questions designed to make the audience believe that support for gun control is much larger than it actually is.   Continue reading “David Letterman Demands Gun Control, Attacks Second Amendment”

James H. Fetzer, professor emeritus at the University of Minnesota Duluth, made the remarks in a phone interview with Press TV on Wednesday.

Speaking at a news conference in Poland on Tuesday, Obama said his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin “has a choice to make” over Ukraine and rebuild the trust shattered by Moscow’s actions in Kiev.   Continue reading “George Soros to spend billions to destabilize Ukraine”

We’ve heard a lot lately about mines closing. Mostly in down-trodden commodities such as gold, zinc and uranium.

But we got news this week of a shutdown for a higher-priced metal: copper.

That came from major miner Newmont, who said that it is officially shuttering its Batu Hijau copper-gold mine in Indonesia.   Continue reading “This Major Copper Mine Is Shutting Down”

If you make more than $27,520 a year at your job, you are doing better than half the country is.  But you don’t have to take my word for it, you can check out the latest wage statistics from the Social Security administrationright here.  But of course $27,520 a year will not allow you to live “the American Dream” in this day and age.  After taxes, that breaks down to a good bit less than $2,000 a month.  You can’t realistically pay a mortgage, make a car payment, afford health insurance and provide food, clothing and everything else your family needs for that much money.  That is one of the reasons why both parents are working in most families today.  In fact, sometimes both parents are working multiple jobs in a desperate attempt to make ends meet.    Continue reading “Half The Country Makes Less Than $27,520 A Year And 15 Other Signs The Middle Class Is Dying”

Following President Obama’s commitment of $1 billion to expand NATO’s role in Eastern Europe, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced on Thursday that the United States will be bolstering its presence in the Black Sea region.

Hagel is currently swinging through Romania, a NATO member that has urged the US to increase its presence in Eastern Europe in the wake of the Ukraine conflict and Russia’s accession of Crimea. Just a little while ago, there was a video going around that showed an officer being beaten by a citizen in a fight. The police chief said he was disappointed and surprised that people stood by and let it happen. On the other hand, the video of the guy (who was severely injured) that stopped a knife-wielding mass murderer on the NYC subway while the cops stood behind a closed door and watched also went viral. The NYPD said to remember that the Supreme Court ruled in 1980 and reaffirmed since then that police do not have a constitutional responsibility to protect a citizen from harm.   Continue reading “Legally, Police Do Not Have to Protect You – Yet, You Go to Jail For Not Assisting Them”

Real Currencies – by Anthony Migchels

Capitalism is Usury. Its defining belief is ‘return on investment’. This is an extension of the ‘time value’ of money, which is the central tenet of modern economics. Capitalism is unthinkable without banking and banking is institutionalized Usury.

Usury is Plutocracy. Compound interest makes it unavoidable that the very richest own everything in generations.

And this is indeed what happened: Capitalism is one huge global monopoly. All the major banks own each other and most Transnationals plus a huge chunk of land. This juggernaut was built with the plunder of Usury.   Continue reading “Capitalism Is Jewish Usury”
