Muslim community leaders in the UK are calling banking giant HSBC ‘Islamaphobic’ after they received letters telling them that their banking services will be terminated in September.

Three organizations—The Cordoba Foundation, the Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT), and the Finsbury Park Mosque—have all received nearly identical letters (pdf) from the bank, and two of them believe the cause may be their support of Palestine.

The Islamist terror group ISIS’s big advantage is that it doesn’t fight conventionally. It’s held off the regular army of Bashar al-Assad and routed thousands of Iraqi troops. But now a group has emerged that turns ISIS’s tactics back against them.

The group is called White Shroud. There’s very little known about the group, but Syrian citizen journalism website Tahrir Souri reported on the group’s existence on July 24. In a contentious meeting at City Hall, the Rev. Al Sharpton challenged Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner William J. Bratton Thursday to make more sweeping policy changes at the NYPD to answer recent complaints of excessive force.

Kimani Gray’s family members say they are disgusted and disappointed by the decision.

KARNES CITY – Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday will open a remodeled detention center three hours north of the Rio Grande Valley.

The Karnes City center will house women and children who entered the country illegally through the Valley.

Japan’s Sasebo naval base this month saw unusual variety in vessel traffic that’s typically dominated by Japanese and U.S. warships. An Indian frigate and destroyer docked en route to joint exercises in the western Pacific.

The INS Shivalik and INS Ranvijay’s appearance at the port near Nagasaki showed Japan’s interest in developing ties with the South Asian nation as Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s government faces deepening tensions with China. A man named Daniel Pantaleo murdered a man named Eric Garner in New York City on July 18th this year. Garner was standing peacefully on the sidewalk, and Pantaleo and a gang of his friends surrounded Garner. Pantaleo grabbed him from behind, choked him, and with the gang’s help, dropped the 400 pound father to the ground.

Garner gasped repeatedly, “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.” Pantaleo pressed the victim’s head into the concrete until Garner stopped gasping and died on the sidewalk. Israel and Hamas have agreed to unconditionally begin a 72-hour ceasefire in the embattled Gaza Strip on Friday, the United States and United Nations said Thursday.

The ceasefire will begin at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT) on Friday, Aug. 1, US Secretary of State John Kerry and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said in a joint statement.
