Gun’s Save Lives – by Dad Cannon

A concealed carrier in Georgia is being heralded by police today after he opened fire on an armed robber. Police say the man’s actions likely lead to an arrest.

It all went down at a Gamestop store in Macon, GA. Tim Jackson, the concealed carrier, was there to buy a game for his son. Things went wrong when a man armed with a rifle that Jackson described as an “assault rifle” walked in and robbed the place.

The State

MECHANICSVILLE, S.C. — Darlington County authorities say a burglary suspect was shot to death, and three others were hurt after a break-in at a home.

Area media outlets report Sheriff Wayne Byrd said two men broke into the home Friday, assaulted two women and hit a boy in the head with a gun.

Byrd said the homeowner, who was asleep in a back room, came out and exchanged gunfire with the intruders, one of whom killed the family dog before fleeing.

One suspect was found dead in the front yard. Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identified him as 25-year-old Marquis Benjamin of Darlington.    Continue reading “Suspect killed, 3 injured in SC home invasion”

Concealed Nation

It’s no surprise to us that crime is taking a nose-dive in the state of Illinois after they became the last state in the country to allow it’s citizens to carry concealed firearms. Numbers are now coming out that show just how much of an effect it’s had in it’s first few months.

“Just the idea that the criminals don’t know who’s armed and who isn’t has a deterrence effect,” said Richard Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association.

The number of robberies that have led to arrest in the city has dropped 20 percent from last year. Reports of burglary and vehicle thefts are also down over 20 percent. And finally in the first quarter, the city’s homicide rate was the lowest it’s been in 56 years.

The tragic joke of the whole thing is that while the TSA molests Senior citizens and harasses pregnant women and children with time-wasting, invasive searches that have yet to stop one terror episode of any kind, ISIS is beginning to slither in through the porous, open border that Obama refuses to close up. FDR famously once said that “nothing in politics happens by accident. If it happens, it was planned.” Open borders, Islamic terrorism streaming in unstopped. Yes, that’s the plan.

Dina Shehadeh, 17, was about to begin her senior year of high school in Ohio where she was born and raised. But two weeks ago, after spending the summer with her extended family in the West Bank, she was separated from her mother and detained inside of Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv. Israeli security then told Dina that she was not allowed to leave the country—at least not through the airport.

While detained on the night of June 13, 2014 when she was scheduled to fly on El Al flight 1,  Dina learned to her surprise that Israeli security no longer considered her an American citizen with American travel privileges. An intelligence assessment released July 22 by the Department of Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis warns of an increasing trend of “anti-government violence” from what are described as “domestic violent extremists” inspired by the recent standoff at the Bundy Ranch in Bunkerville, Nevada.  The report, titled “Domestic Violent Extremists Pose Increased Threat to Government Officials an Law Enforcement,” was originally obtained and published by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, a non-profit alliance of local state and federal resource professionals that has been advocating for criminal charges against Cliven Bundy and “militia snipers” involved in the April standoff with the Bureau of Land Management.     Continue reading “DHS Warns of “Domestic Violent Extremists” Targeting Government Officials, Law Enforcement”

After being passed by the California Senate two weeks ago, the new kill switch measure calls on smartphone makers to offer a remote disablement function that activates upon initial device setup. The law is set to take effect by July 2015. 

Introduced by Sen. Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) in February, the kill switch initiative looks to thwart a growing smartphone theft “epidemic” by building in security features that allow users to remotely disable their device when stolen or lost. A federal judge has overturned part of a California law requiring a 10-day waiting period for gun buyers, ruling that it does not apply to those who already own firearms.
