WASHINGTON (AP) — Bank of America is nearing a $16 billion to $17 billion settlement to resolve an investigation into its role in the sale of mortgage-backed securities before the 2008 financial crisis, a person directly familiar with the matter said Wednesday.
The deal with the bank, which must still be finalized, would be the largest Justice Department settlement by far arising from the economic meltdown in which millions of Americans lost their homes to foreclosure. President Barack Obama drew the diplomatic line somewhere at the first ever U.S-Africa summit at the White House this week by not inviting Zimbabwe’s brutal dictator Robert Mugabe.
But the guest list still included several other African leaders with only slightly better human rights records.

In our weekly radio show, “Truth Trends,” Dr. Fred and I often laugh as we make references to the fact that we are of the conspiracy theory mindset in a number of areas. Every week there is usually some mention of needing to don our “tin foil hats” because we are venturing into territory that many may view as “being way out there.” I suppose to some people the topics Dr. Fred and I discuss may be a little much for them to handle, and thus, they brush it off as being conspiratorial or just plain nonsense. That’s fine; however, the subjects we discuss are actually of a very serious nature and not everybody can handle that subject matter. To do so would require re-wiring the gray matter between the ears and rearranging the brain housing group. To accept that there is any premise of truth within a conspiracy theory is to admit that you have absolutely no control of anything going on around you and most of us simply cannot handle that, so it is rejected outright. AUSTIN, Texas — National Guard troops beginning a controversial deployment to the Rio Grande Valley to help deal with a flood of undocumented immigrants will stow their combat gear and take up Spanish lessons, state officials said Tuesday as questions continued to swirl about whether the additional boots on the ground even were needed.
The Guard troops will be armed for self-defense and trained to avoid confrontation with border crossers as they help back up federal border agents and hundreds of Department of Public Safety troopers, Texas Rangers, DPS investigators and game wardens who arrived weeks ago. With help from Hollywood, City of London Police have arrested the alleged operator of Immunicity and a range of torrent site proxies. The 20-year-old man was questioned at a local police station, and pending further investigation was released on bail.
Earlier today news broke that the proxy service Immunicity had been taken offline by the UK Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU). BEIRUT: The Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) responded Tuesday to recent attacks against its forces in Deir al-Zor province by displaying the heads of three tribesmen who took up arms against them, an anti-regime monitor said Tuesday.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the three tribal fighters were from the village of al-Jurdi, where the grisly messages to the public were placed in a public square. ISIS militants and tribesmen clashed on the outskirts of the village, it added, after tribal fighters withdrew from al-Jurdi Monday and ISIS seized the village. I am an ex law enforcement narcotic enforcement and one thing I insist upon is, is there probable cause to believe and what evidence is there, and most of all keeping an open mind. You mentioned Chem Trails and that the media has come forth and said it is for our good????? Any thing our media says is good just figure the opposite. This brings up a question;
If that is so then why is it here in Yuma every year around the 1st of November we get very heavy spraying and it last until around the first of April. In the summer time we get very little if any. During this period of time in the winter is when we get around 100,000 winter visitors from the U.S. and Canada with an average age of around 65 or 70 years. The Illinois state climatologist reported on Friday that the preliminary assessment of last month’s temperatures tied the record for the coolest July in recorded history but that as the data is further quantified it will likely break the record.
State Climatologist Jim Angel reported that the statewide average temperature in July was 70.3 degrees which tied the record low set in 2009.
