On May 2 Demetrius Blackwell allegedly shot New York Police Department Officer Brian Moore in the head, and Moore succumbed to his injuries on May 4.

Charlie Hebdo magazine’s editor and another journalist have distanced themselves from the Prophet cartoon contest in Texas that came under attack by two gunmen on Sunday, stating that they were against racism.
Gerard Biard, editor of the magazine whose staff members were gunned down by two gunmen in January, said Charlie Hebdo had ‘nothing to do’ with the people behind the controversial ‘Draw the Prophet’ contest. HOLMDEL — A middle school and high school were placed in lock down Tuesday morning after a possible hoax report, police said.

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – The Idaho State Police are investigating a shooting that left a Coeur d’Alene police officer in critical condition early Tuesday morning.
Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White speaking at the press conference said, at approximately 1:35 a.m. Tuesday morning, Sergeant Greg Moore was shot at the 2800 block of West Wilbur Ave.

As California farmers face a fourth year of the state’s historic drought, they’re finding water in unexpected places — like Chevron’s Kern River oil field, which has been selling recycled wastewater from oil production to farmers in California’s Kern County. Each day, Chevron recycles and sells 21 million gallons of wastewater to farmers, which is then applied on about 10 percent of Kern County’s farmland. And while some praise the program as a model for dealing with water shortages, environmental groups are raising concerns about the water’s safety, according to a recent story in the Los Angeles Times. ONTARIO, Canada, May 5, 2015 (ChurchMilitant.com) – Parents all across Ontario Canada kept their children home from school Monday in protest against the province’s controversial new sex education program.
Kathleen Wynne, the lesbian premier of Ontario, unveiled the new curriculum earlier this year, and the public outcry was immediate. The revised curriculum includes even more explicit language than the previous sex ed curriculum, including discussion of homosexuality, sodomy, masturbation, and other graphic sex acts that will be introduced to children. It also promotes condoms and birth control pills. A new element in the program includes “gender expression,” along with a greater emphasis on sex being a purely recreational activity. Otto was shot four times and died on 4/29/15, when Wyckoff, NJ Police Department responded to the wrong address to take a report of a property damage on a neighbor’s house. The officer entered the backyard of the incorrect home and became startled when Otto entered the yard barking, causing him to fire four shots, hitting the dog twice. The police have tried to cover-up this act of negligence as self-defense against an “attack” during an investigation of a “burglary” – witnesses and evidence prove otherwise. Last Wednesday a passenger in a taxi heading for Midway airport, leaned over to ask the driver a question and gently tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.
The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb and stopped just inches from a large plate window.

A North Carolina police officer is suing Starbucks for $50,000 after spilling a free cup of coffee on himself.
Matthew Kohr claims he was burned after the hot coffee cup lid came off and the cup folded in on itself at a Raleigh Starbucks in January 2012.

A powerful explosion in an active Hawaiian lava crater was captured on webcam by the US Geological Survey. The footage shows how a rock fall prompted the lava lake to burst.

A US Air Force general has been forced to step down over his “inappropriate comment” at a disciplinary hearing. He studied a photo showing two officers, describing them as “drunker than 10,000 Indians.”
“I inadvertently made an unfortunate comment, I own it, and I hold myself accountable to the same high standards my subordinate commanders are held to,” Major General Michael Keltz said in a statement. Gwinnett County, GA — Clayton County Sheriff, Victor Hill, has not been charged with a crime and was allowed to leave the scene after shooting a woman in the stomach on Sunday.
According to Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Brian Doan, Hill accidentally shot a woman at a model home located at 2567 Britt Trail Drive in Lawrenceville at around 7 p.m. Sunday.
The woman Hill shot is in critical condition at Gwinnett Medical Center. She was the real estate agent who was showing the home.
