BERKELEY (CBS SF) – Residents living in some Berkeley neighborhoods have been kept up at night over mysterious booms heard in the area over the past few weeks. It’s an unsolved mystery that even has police scratching their heads.

Rachael Marzoline told KPIX 5 about the boom she heard two nights ago. “I’d say it was around one in the morning, scared the hell out of me. I jumped out of bed,” Marzoline recalled.

Joel Bryant said he heard the booms at least eight different times in the last month. “We’re puzzled by it,” he said. “It’s not as crisp as a gunshot. It sounds like an aerial bomb explosion.”   Continue reading “Mysterious Booms heard in California and New Jersey”

(CBS SF) — Get ready to feast your eyes on an extra special and rare total lunar eclipse Saturday morning that has some Christians worried this Easter weekend.

For the third time in less than a year, the moon will dip into Earth’s shadow, turning its bright white globe a deep coppery red in a matter of minutes.

In New Hampshire, four cities – Nashua, Manchester, Laconia and Concord – take in refugees, but the numbers are not evenly distributed. A group of robbers on the south side of Chicago appear to have taken a page out of the Gulf Cartel or Los Zetas manual for setting up roadblocks in order to carry out violent robberies. Just last week a group of three or four robbers have used a construction area in the city’s south side to set up roadblocks as a trap for motorists.

A rescue operation is underway to save the multinational crew of the Russian freezer trawler “Dalniy Vostok” which has sunk in the Sea of Okhotsk off the Kamchatka Peninsula. At least 54 have been confirmed dead while 63 have survived the catastrophe.

A total of 117 people were lifted from the water, 63 of them are alive, a representative of the Kamchatka division of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told RIA. The lawsuit alleges that Hopkins was the driving force behind human experiments in Guatemala in the 1940s.

NATO’s top military commander General Philip Breedlove has said an armoured vehicles convoy travelling by road in the Czech Republic sent a message of reassurance. Speaking in Romania, Breedlove said he and NATO are ready to defend against Russian belligerence.

For a planned county communications system called LA-RICS, new cell towers are being installed at fire stations across Los Angeles County. They are being installed overnight without any notice to residents. All environmental regulations and required studies have been pushed aside and ignored.

Firemen sleep and reside at firehouses for days at a time, with a cell tower just a few feet away. The fireman’s union opposes this and many firefighters and citizens showed up at a recent Los Angeles County supervisor’s meeting to protest. The firefighters are asking for public support.
