Intel today admitted its Management Engine (ME), Server Platform Services (SPS), and Trusted Execution Engine (TXE) are vulnerable to multiple worrying security flaws, based on the findings of external security experts.

The firmware-level bugs allow logged-in administrators, and malicious or hijacked high-privilege processes, to run code beneath the operating system to spy on or meddle with the computer completely out of sight of other users and admins. A researcher is warning that the plague outbreak that’s reached a “crisis point” in Madagascar could trigger polio. As aid workers are now only focused on the black death, polio has taken a backseat, and some health experts believe that that could be devastating.

Hundreds of victims of the Oct. 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas filed five lawsuits on Monday in a California court against the operators of the hotel from which the gunman fired, the organizers of the country music festival he targeted and the killer’s estate.

Remington Outdoor, the second-largest U.S. gunmaker has suffered a “rapid” and “sharp” deterioration in sales and a similar drop in profits since January, and faces “continued softness in consumer demand for firearms,” credit analysts at Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings said in a report Friday.

S&P as a result has cut the company’s corporate credit rating — already at a junk-bond-level CCC+ — two full notches, to CCC-, a move likely to make the company’s high-yield debt less attractive to investors and lenders, and force Remington to pay more in interest. The £1.5billion project will provide luxury apartments at a time where the housing demand in the principality has peaked meaning the supply has run dry.

This is the most troops the US have had in the country since 1993, when the Black Hawk Down incident killed 18 US soldiers and led to a quick withdrawal from the nation. I find this profoundly important. This woman presented her class with opportunity for debate. She included a video of Professor Jordan Peterson who is fighting the forced gender pronoun issue. The snowflakes went nuts and the faculty rose to academic totalitarianism. It’s easy to respond to this with: “Just stay out of their schools,” but the fact is millions of young people are still there and being ruthlessly indoctrinated to conformity. No outcome yet, but this case is one to watch.
