Chatsworth, GA — A family is outraged and a great-grandmother recovering after she was tasered in her breast for failing to understand police when they told her to drop a knife she was using to reportedly cut flowers.

According to police, they received a call from a Boys and Girls club employee noting that Martha Al-Bishara, 87, was walking a trail with a knife. A 2017 Congressional candidate who ran on a gun control platform in Georgia was arrested last week and charged with shooting the former manager of her political action committee, according to police.

Daily Mail reports that the former candidate, 30-year-old Kellie Collins, was a Democrat running for Georgia’s 10th Congressional seat. Around 30 people have been confirmed dead following Tuesday’s bridge collapse in Genoa. As emergency services continue to deal with the aftermath of the tragedy eye witnesses are recalling how the disaster unfolded.

People who were on the Ponte Morandi when it dramatically gave away say they saw numerous cars on the stretch of road when the collapse occurred. Investigative Journalist Jen Moore was found dead in a suburban Washington D.C. hotel room Monday, according to police and shocked and distraught friends and colleagues.

Moore died of an apparent seizure. Police are closely investigating the cause of death after former FBI Agent Robyn Gritz, a friend of Moore’s, made inquiries with homicide detectives Monday afternoon in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
