Mexicans living abroad, primarily those working in the United States, are adding billions of dollars to the Mexican economy, and this year marks the second-highest amount since Mexico’s central back starting keeping records 24 years ago.

Mexico Daily News reported that in July Mexicans sent home $3.27 billion — 14.4 percent higher than they sent in July of 2018. The US Constitution never granted the federal government authority to create a central bank. The Founders, having lived through hyperinflation themselves, understood that government should never have a printing press at its disposal. But from the very beginning of America’s founding, the desire for a crony central bank was strong.

In fact, two attempts were made at creating a permanent central bank in America prior to the creation of the Fed. Philadelphia police on Wednesday were hunting a gunman who fired at an officer sitting in an unmarked car — the third incident in which cops have been targeted in the city over the past three weeks.

The plainclothes officer was conducting surveillance around 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Kingsessing neighborhood when an unidentified man saw him and opened fire, striking his vehicle twice, FOX29 reported. Australian special police forces seized a total of 475 guns across the country in a week-long crackdown on illegal firearms, according to AAP (via Yahoo).

HONG KONG (Reuters) – Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam on Wednesday withdrew an extradition bill that triggered months of often violent protests so the Chinese-ruled city can move forward from a “highly vulnerable and dangerous” place and find solutions.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has passed a resolution declaring the National Rifle Association a “domestic terrorist organization” and urged the federal government to do the same – the latest escalation in the heated rhetoric from Democrats regarding the NRA in the wake of several deadly mass shootings.
