An Illinois bill permitting police surveillance drones at protests is igniting a fiery debate in Chicago.

Introduced by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the bill amends the Freedom from Drone Surveillance Act to permit police to fly surveillance drones over “large scale events” in Chicago. Though the bill itself references festivals and concerts, ACLU Illinois says the amendment would empower police to fly drones over political protests and rallies as well. Miami, FL – A police officer was relieved of duty on Thursday, hours after a disturbing video was posted on Facebook that showed him running up to a man who was handcuffed and restrained on the ground, and kicking his head like a soccer ball for no apparent reason.

The video was posted by Facebook user Lisa Harrell, and it showed a man lying on the grass in the yard outside of a house with his hands behind his back. A police officer was standing a few feet away, and he pulled out a pair of handcuffs from his belt and skipped over to the man who was already in full surrender position. Flat-earthers never cease to entertain us with their wild theories and wacky ideas.  The newest theory claims that the entire continent of Australia is fake and if you’ve been there, you’re just wrong.

A breaking piece was published via CBS news recently that the U.S. frozen funding for Syria’s “White Helmets”.

Why did it happen, probably you would like to ask us...

First, the delay in approving the financing may be connected with the revision of the strategy of using White Helmets as East Ghouta had been lost for the opposition. It impossible now to use the pretext of ‘regime crimes in Ghouta’ using Civil Defense. TIJUANA (Reuters) – Dozens more Central American caravan migrants were let into the United States to begin pleading their case for asylum on Thursday despite sharp criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump, bringing the total to 158 since last weekend.

Kilauea volcano has erupted near a residential area on Hawaii’s largest island, prompting a local state of emergency and the mandatory evacuation of 1,700 residents.

Streams of lava have been seen running through woods and bubbling on to roads.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is ramping up its efforts to promote gun control in the United States following the February shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

The sporting goods retailer — which is also one of the top firearms sellers in the US — has hired lobbyists to push for gun control in Washington. This was discovered after a complaint was received from a consumer who found blue, hard plastic pieces in one of the products. Students across the US walked out of their classrooms Wednesday in support of the Second Amendment to the country’s Constitution, which enshrines the right of US citizens to keep and bear arms.

The rallies, called “Stand for the Second,” were spearheaded by 18-year-old Will Riley, a senior at Carlsbad High School in New Mexico, to demonstrate that not all young people support the previous gun protests that swept the nation after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 that killed 17 students.

A sex offender who led police on a wild pursuit from Los Angeles to Kern County in a motor home with his two children was arrested Thursday, authorities said.

Stephen Houk was detained in Barstow around 4:30 p.m., more than 100 miles from where police last saw him, according to Nicole Nishida, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
