India’s government asserted to the country’s Supreme Court that citizens don’t have “absolute” rights over their bodies, and the privacy argument is “bogus.” They were discussing a controversial new system, allegedly used to fight fake IDs.

After dozens of anarchists allegedly caused more than $100,000 in damage to new buildings and high-end cars Monday night in North Philadelphia, two of them apparently became trapped between groups of residents on either end of the short 1500 block of North Palethorp Street.

“Everyone is coming out, and they are surrounding these people, and there’s the two of them completely alone. … Immediately they started changing clothes, sat on a stoop, and said they were waiting for a friend,” said Amberlynn Kabana, a neighborhood resident and real estate agent. “We held them until police arrived. … They picked the wrong spot to come in and terrorize people.”   Continue reading “N. Washington, 2 May (Argus) — The US Defense Department wants to prolong a drilling ban in the eastern part of the US Gulf of Mexico, an area the oil industry is lobbying President Donald Trump’s administration to open for leasing.

The area is estimated to contain 3.6bn bl of technically recoverable oil and 11.5 Tcf of natural gas but is largely off-limits to drilling until 2022. WEB Notes: Remember how much of a stink everyone made over the length of Obama’s “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act”? This “GOP Spending Bill” is roughly 600 pages longer than that. Yet Trump says, “We’re very happy with it”. Happy America just went further in debt. Happy the military budget just expanded to drop more bombs on innocent people and continue nation building for the globalists. We could go on and on, but that is enough for today.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (NEWSPLEX) — A Charlottesville judge has granted part of a temporary injunction in the lawsuit over the future of the Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson statues.

Following an injunction hearing Tuesday afternoon, Judge Richard Moore ruled that in the public’s interest, the Lee statue cannot be moved for a period of six months.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 2, 2017) – Yesterday, the Tennessee House gave final approval to a bill that would decriminalize the manufacture and possession of firearm silencers in the state. If signed by Gov. Bill Haslam, the bill would help foster an environment hostile to federal gun control in Tennessee.

Sen. Steve Southerland (R-Morristown) introduced Senate Bill 921 (SB921) earlier this year.
