The Indiana Court of Appeals decided Thursday that police officers can pull over motorists for having expired tags before their registrations actually expire. Indiana registrations lapse at midnight on a day determined by the owner’s last name, but an Indianapolis police officer decided to test the limits on October 21, 2015 by pulling over a car before midnight.

Officer Cameron Taylor says that he saw a car, ran its plate, and the computer said the plate was “expired,” though the date of expiration was October 21. During the ensuing stop, Officer Taylor asked the passenger, Kevin L. Dowdy, now 32, to show identification. Although he did not need to do so, Dowdy gave his name and birthdate. When the officer looked it up, he found that Dowdy had an outstanding warrant for driving on a suspended license. As Dowdy was placed under arrest, the officer found a narcotic pill in his pocket.  Continue reading “Indiana: Court Upholds Stop For Unexpired Registration”

A report by internet security experts, Symantec, says that a hacking group called Dragonfly 2.0 has gained access to 20 power company networks. The American power grid has been hacked, but for some reason, the culprits restrained themselves from taking down the power like they did in Ukraine recently.

The targets were in the United States, Turkey, and Switzerland. According to Symantec, the hackers did gain access to the interface they would need to control the power equipment, with which they could cause a widespread blackout. Eric Chien, a Symantec security analyst, told Wired:   Continue reading “Cyber Experts Prove the American Power Grid Has Been Hacked”

A wildlife photographer and an animal rights group have reached a settlement in perhaps the weirdest lawsuit of the century.

David Slater and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have been at loggerheads for years over who owns the rights to the famous “monkey selfie” taken by a curious macaque in 2011.   Continue reading “A surreal legal battle over whether a monkey can own a selfie is finally over”

The big players in the GMO and agrochemical industry – Monsanto, Bayer, Dow, Syngenta, DuPont – are engaging in an extensive public relations, advertising, lobbying and political campaigning to make sure that genetically engineered crops (GMOs), and the chemical pesticides they require, continue to proliferate in the U.S.

To improve their public image, they are attempting to manipulate everything we see and hear about GMO crops and pesticides in the media and on TV, the internet and print articles – using propaganda-laden commercials, “mommy-blogger” articles, farmer endorsements, hired operatives to change Wikipedia, and front group websites. The biotech industry is feeling threatened, and their profits hang in the balance. They are trying to silence the truth!    Continue reading “Do You Trust Snopes? You Won’t After Reading This.”

Honolulu, HI — In America’s modern-day police state, it seems the state knows no bounds as to how far it will go to keep children and adults in a perpetual state of fear. A recent lawsuit out of Hawaii illustrates the extent of the American fear culture and how its insanity is tormenting and traumatizing America’s youth.

For more than 10 minutes, middle school children were held hostage by a raging lunatic in a mask, swinging a hammer while threatening to kill them all. Naturally, officials claim this drill, involving a school official wearing a mask and holding a hammer while threatening to kill children, was done for the “safety of those children.” Well, Michelle and Eddie Chavez aren’t buying that excuse.   Continue reading “Children Held Hostage During Disturbing 9/11 Drill by School Official Threatening to Kill Them”

Following President Trump’s sign off last Friday on a short-term debt-ceiling/government funding/hurricane aid deal (thanks to Democrats’ votes), the US Treasury was finally freed from the shackles of the debt ceiling which it hit nearly one year ago  and which meant that US federal debt would be at roughly $19.808 trillion for months.

Well, no more: according to the latest Daily Trasury Statement as of Friday, total US debt surged by $317.6 billion from its Thursday closing print of $19.845 trillion, following the short-term debt suspension which kicked the can through December 8, to finally rise above the “psychological barrier” of $20 trillion, or $20,162,176,797,904.13 to be precise.   Continue reading “It’s Official: US Debt Finally Tops $20 Trillion, Jumps By $318 Billion In One Day”

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – The United Nations Security Council unanimously stepped up sanctions against North Korea on Monday over the country’s sixth and most powerful nuclear test on Sept. 3, imposing a ban on the country’s textile exports and capping imports of crude oil.

It was the ninth sanctions resolution unanimously adopted by the 15-member council since 2006 over North Korea’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs. The United States watered down an initial tougher draft resolution to win the support of Pyongyang ally China and Russia.   Continue reading “U.N. Two major hurricanes, unprecedented earthquake swarms and wildfires roaring out of control all over the northwest United States – what else will go wrong next?  When I originally pointed to the month of September as a critical time, I had no idea that we would see so many catastrophic natural disasters during this time frame as well.  Hurricane Harvey just broke the all-time record for rainfall in the continental United States, Hurricane Irma is so immensely powerful that it has been called “a lawnmower from the sky”, vast stretches of our country out west are literally being consumed by fire, and the magnitude-8.2 earthquake that just hit Mexico was completely unexpected.  As I have stated so many times before, our planet is becoming increasingly unstable, but most people simply do not understand what is happening.   Continue reading “Apocalyptic September? So-called “sanctuary cities” — those providing refugee to illegal aliens — receive billions of dollars in federal funding despite their brazen disrespect for the law. Given the immense costs of illegal immigration — both in benefits paid out and tax revenues lost from the displacement of legal American labor — it makes no sense for the federal government to be paying out funds to the cities enabling those costs to exist.   Continue reading “In The Middle Of The Night The House Just Delivered One Of Trump’s Biggest Promises!”

In what may be a major breakthrough in the diplomatic and political stalemate over North Korea if confirmed officially, Japan’s Kyodo newspaper reported overnight that Chinese state banks have started suspending transactions through accounts held by North Koreans, making it nearly impossible to do business between the two countries. Furthermore, Kyodo News has confirmed that branch offices of at least three major state banks – the Bank of China, China Construction Bank and Agricultural Bank of China – in the northeastern border city of Yanji have also banned North Koreans from opening accounts.  Continue reading “Crackdown Begins: Chinese Banks Are Suspending North Korean Transactions”

Zero Hedge – by Tyler Durden

Clearly the war in Syria and the international push for regime change against Assad has created strange alliances in the Middle East over the past few years. Among the strangest bedfellows are the Israelis and Saudis. It’s no secret that common cause in Syria of late has led the historic bitter enemies down a pragmatic path of unspoken cooperation as both seem to have placed the break up of the so-called “Shia crescent” as their primary policy goal in the region. But that’s perhaps why few pundits seemed overly shocked when Israeli media late last week began reporting that a Saudi prince made a secret visit to Israel, in spite of the fact that the kingdom does not recognize the Jewish state, and the two sides do not have diplomatic relations.  Continue reading “Breaking News of Saudi Crown Prince’s “Secret” Visit To Israel Brings Embassy Scramble”

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Justice Department on Monday filed an emergency application at the U.S. Supreme Court seeking to block an appeals court decision that limited President Donald Trump’s effort to temporarily bar most refugees from entering the United States.

The department did not ask the court to immediately block a separate part of last Thursday’s ruling by the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that said grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins of legal U.S. residents should be exempted from Trump’s ban on travelers from six Muslim-majority countries.   Continue reading “Trump administration asks top U.S. court to lift refugee ban limits”

A crane set to aid in the removal of a controversial Texas statue of Robert E. Lee collided with a semitrailer Sunday night, killing the driver of the truck, police said.

The crane was heading to Lee Park and was attempting to make a left on a green light when the semitrailer ran a red light and plowed into the machine in downtown Dallas, Assistant City Manager Jon Fortune said.

“[The semitrailer driver] was traveling…at a very high rate of speed and failed to yield the right of way, colliding into the crane,” a city news release said.   Continue reading “Robert E. Lee statue removal crane involved in deadly Dallas crash”
