Prisons for Profit?

Why not? Anything for profit if you don’t mind that fact that the love of money is root of all evil – life-long debt, a Permanent War Policy, killer vaccinations and addictive prescription drugs, lone nuts on Ritalin shooting up schools, US senators treated like royalty, all their money in Defense Bonds, no prosperity in sight for anyone at all fifty million Americans on food stamps, the rest trained to regard them as ‘takers’ when the rest outsourced their jobs… for  money.   Continue reading “US Has more People in Jail than China and Russia Combined. U.S. journalists should be able to enter the country without fear of detention or intimidation.

But government authorities have been stopping journalists, whistleblowers and many other travelers on a regular basis, seizing their electronic devices and examining them without search warrants.   Continue reading “Demand That Attorney General Holder Stop the Harassment of Journalists”

A water collecting drone with its three containers hovers at a testing site in Lincoln, Neb., Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.Press TV

The US Department of Justice spent millions of dollars purchasing small unarmed drones for domestic use over the last decade, but the department lacks a comprehensive policy for the unmanned aircraft — despite growing concern about their use.

In a report released Thursday, the DOJ’s inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, said the department’s agencies had an “uncoordinated approach” to their use of drones.    Continue reading “US Department of Justice spent millions on domestic drones”

The Internet has been awash of late with articles, analysis and YouTube clips all examining the warnings put forth by South Dakota S.R. and State Sen. Sheldon R. Songstad (1971-1978 and 1985-1988)1. Google ‘FEMA Region III alert’ and page after page of articles, news clips and releases, etc. pop up for viewing. It has become my habit, (being so illuminated by the events of Aurora, Sandy Hook, Boston, 911, and even the recent Navy yard shooting) to automatically look for falsities.   Continue reading “Is the FEMA Region III Alert a Red Herring?”

All across America, Wall Street is grabbing money meant for public workers.

In the final months of 2011, almost two years before the city of Detroit would shock America by declaring bankruptcy in the face of what it claimed were insurmountable pension costs, the state of Rhode Island took bold action to avert what it called its own looming pension crisis. Led by its newly elected treasurer, Gina Raimondo – an ostentatiously ambitious 42-year-old Rhodes scholar and former venture capitalist – the state declared war on public pensions, ramming through an ingenious new law slashing benefits of state employees with a speed and ferocity seldom before seen by any local government.   Continue reading “Looting the Pension Funds”

In this photo taken from a remote camera at the Lazovsky State Nature Reserve in the Primorye region of Russia’s Far East on Dec. 8, 2011, a golden eagle attacks a deer. Remote cameras set up to track Siberian tigers in Russia have caught a golden eagle attack on a sika deer, snapping three photos as the massive bird digs its talons into the distressed animal’s back. Golden eagles typically eat small birds or mammals, but they’ve also been known to target deer. It’s rare for a camera to catch such an attack in progress. Remote cameras intended to monitor Siberian tigers in Russia instead caught a golden eagle’s fatal attack on a deer, snapping three photos as the massive bird dug its talons into the distressed animal’s back.

London’s Zoological Society, which distributed the pictures to journalists, said the sequence showed a rare but not unheard of attack by a golden eagle. The society’s Linda Kerley said she first realized something was up when she approached the wildlife-monitoring device — also called a camera trap — and found a mangled deer carcass nearby.   Continue reading “Cameras capture eagle killing deer in Russia”

The media didn’t give these words from the president much coverage:

“We have been able to see many Euro-Atlantic countries effectively embark on a path of renouncing their roots, including Christian values, which underlie Western civilization. Policies are pursued that put large families and same-sex partnerships in the same category, belief in God and belief in Satan.”   Continue reading “Surprising words from the President”

How’s this for apocalyptic literature.
This was written by a pastor’s wife in biblical prose as a commentary of current events. It is brilliant.

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity
That the people of the land Called America ,
Having lost their morals, their initiative,
And their Will to defend their liberties,
Chose as their Supreme Leader that
Person known as “The One.”   Continue reading “Supreme Leader Obama is ‘The One’”

The US Government has, for a second time, failed to grant a visa to Pakistani lawyer Shahzad Akbar, preventing him from speaking in congress on the CIA drone program next week.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, Soitec, CEA-Leti and the Helmholtz Center Berlin jointly announced today having achieved a new world record for the conversion of sunlight into electricity using a new solar cell structure with four solar subcells. Surpassing competition after only over three years of research, and entering the roadmap at world class level, a new record efficiency of 44.7% was measured at a concentration of 297 suns. This indicates that 44.7% of the solar spectrum’s energy, from ultraviolet through to the infrared, is converted into electrical energy. This is a major step towards reducing further the costs of solar electricity and continues to pave the way to the 50% efficiency roadmap.   Continue reading “World Record Solar Cell With 44.7% Efficiency”
