Sandy Hook school to be melted down, erasing any trace of killing spree sceneNew York Post

NEWTOWN, Conn. — When the old Sandy Hook Elementary School is demolished, building materials will be pulverized on site and metal will be taken away and melted down in an effort to eliminate nearly every trace of the building where a gunman killed 26 people last December.

Contractors also will be required to sign confidentiality agreements and workers will guard the property’s perimeter to prevent onlookers from taking photographs or videos.   Continue reading “Sandy Hook school to be melted down, erasing any trace of killing spree scene”

A day after a surveillance video went public showing a Dallas police officer shooting a mentally ill man for no apparent reason, Chief David Brown ordered that an aggravated assault charge against the wounded man be “immediately” dropped.

The chief’s decision Friday came amid a growing chorus of outrage and calls from civil rights activists and others that an outside law enforcement agency — such as the Texas Rangers or the FBI — investigate Monday’s shooting of Bobby Gerald Bennett.   Continue reading “Dallas chief drops charge against Rylie man shot by officer”

Here I sit, in West Virginia, staring down at January 1, 2014.

That’s when my health insurance policy expires and I have a decision to make — renew or not renew?

Right now, I’m paying about $7,000 a year in premiums for a monster deductible and yearly out of pocket of about $15,000 for myself and my family.   Continue reading “Grand Theft Health Insurance”

apocalypse_now_-thumb131001When it all comes down, here are some rules of survival to govern all areas of your post apocalyptic life:

1. Avoid other people: Establish a base camp away from populated areas. People are loud, noisy and in times of stress they will have no problem stealing your food/wife/water/weapons/clothes.

2. Have an escape plan. Your camp may become overrun, so you need a back-up. A safe haven to slip away to. This must be known by no more than 3 people for sake of security. Ensure your safe haven is well stocked, hidden and fortified as much as possible.   Continue reading “Surviving the Apocalypse”

“I am wondering if you have any thoughts about defensive tactics if one is being hunted down by men with trained tracking dogs.”

I’m not a subject matter expert on tracking or tracking dogs, but I’ve done a bit of E & E training as the pursued so I have a few thoughts for you, perhaps a little different from the conventional.   Continue reading “When They Are Hunting You”

The spirit of courageous FBI-informant Larry Grathwohl--who spent a lifetime challenging unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers—haunts him still.

It was Grathwohl who awakened America to the inherent dangers of Barack Obama in the run up to the 2008 presidential election when he described a meeting he attended where Bill Ayers and Weather Underground members talked openly about how they would have to murder an estimated 25 million people following the revolution they were then attempting to foment.   Continue reading “The spirit of the late Larry Grathwohl still haunts Bill Ayers”

Under fire from the Boy Scouts of America and under investigation by law enforcement, two Utah troop leaders who taped themselves gleefully toppling a boulder from a Jurassic-era rock formation in a state park said Friday they should have been more hands-off.

Glenn Taylor and Dave Hall told NBC News that they acted with good intentions, pushing the massive rock before it could fall on its own and hurt someone, but now wish they had just alerted a ranger.   Continue reading “Utah scout leaders who topped ancient rock: ‘We did something right the wrong way’”

Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)-  In a bid to fight against criminal and gang possession of firearms on the street, Illinois state rep. Mike Zalewski (D-21st Dist.) is set to propose legislation that essentially labels all firearm possession outside the home illegal.

This measure—HB 2265—does not differentiate between possession by law-abiding citizens and possession by criminals or gang members. And the NRA warns that this creates a situation where a law-abiding citizen who has a gun in his or her car for self-defense—but no concealed carry permit or Firearm Owner Identification Card (FOID)—could “face serious penalties for an innocuous mistake.”   Continue reading “Illinois Law Would Heavily Restrict Possession of Firearms Outside Home”
