Ferriday’s Jason Archer helped friends sight in their primitive firearms on Saturday, November 9, opening day for that segment of the deer season in Concordia Parish, when the 42-year-old and his cousin looked at their watches and decided they had time for a late afternoon hunt.

Since all Archer had seen so far from his stand had been feral hogs, he was intent on shooting a pig. WPSD, Nov. 17, 2013: One of the plant’s four enrichment production buildings, the adjacent cooling towers and nearby electrical switchyard sustained most of the damage. Several of the transite panels that cover the building were torn off or broken. Electrical power poles, wiring and other electrical circuits were also damaged. DETROIT (AP) — Two off-duty police sergeants robbed three men they apparently suspected in the theft of a cellphone belonging to the teenage daughter of one of the officers, prosecutors in Detroit said Monday.

In an op-ed column that suppurates condescension, Boise Police Chief Mike Masterson defended his department’s acquisition of a Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected combat vehicle (MRAP). The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) is urging theater operators to crack down on in-theater camcording with the deployment of night-vision goggles, low-light binoculars and security cameras.

While some police officers would like to be able to use GPS trackers on suspects without a warrant, being on the receiving end of surveillance is taken quite differently. Boston cops are concerned about the pending use of trackers on their cars.

The devices would monitor the movement of cruisers in real time, and their adoption comes following negotiations between the city and the patrol officers union, reports The Boston Globe.
